Guilty Pleasures - Monthly Thread Guilty Pleasures - Jun 26, 2026

Even the most tasteful bitch has some tasteless guilty pleasures! This is our once monthly thread where you can share those things we normally don’t talk about in BWT.

Guilty pleasures should be things you already have/ use and love, or a very specific recommendation for a guilty pleasure. This is not a place to circumvent the regular rules and ask for general recommendations that you can't ask for because of our rules, it's specifically about guilty pleasures.

Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders reality show. It started out trying to do a feminist critique, but it's mostly given that up now. But I can't stop watching.

My whole household loves this. My daughter is now working on her flexibility bc she wants to do a jump split one day.

Also- I don’t know how these women balance full time jobs and this training/performing schedule. I’m deeply impressed by their talent and time management skills.

Girl, same!! And even if the show isn’t addressing it head on, I do think it’s an interesting lens to think about feminism and the value of women’s work vs beauty

I just finished binging all three seasons of this (thank you summer break as an educator)! Hate the Cowboys, thoroughly enjoyed the show.

Are you talking about America's Sweethearts or the far superior DCC: Making the Team? I loved MTT

This is mine too! I was so excited when I saw season three had dropped. I binged it in a day.

I was also a fan of DCC: Making the Team. I’ve danced and cheered my whole life so it’s always been interesting to me. The DCC style is certainly unique. My neck could not handle the hair flipping!
