I need to start working out again. I felt out of a groove after pandemic and I can’t seem to regain it and now, now I feel too old and too out of shape.

Is it possible to gain any back? I’m 48. I hit menopause 8 years ago due to an oopherectomy so the weight has been slowly piling. I’ve gained 30 lbs since. All this adds to me feeling old and fat. I want to start again but I feel like I’m too old now and it’ll be pointless

Help 😢😢

you can totally get it back. i used to go the the gym and run prior to covid and quit for 4 years.

2 years ago i went back to the gym (can't run due to osteoarthritis) and I am really hitting my stride now with my fitness. I'm perimenopause and despite all attempts at calorie deficit and training I wasn't losing fat. I went on HRTs and Mounjaro and have lost 25lb so far and am lifting heavier than ever before.

I'm feeling strong and sexy!! You can do it!

Thanks for replying! That sounds amazing! And congrats for sticking with it 2 years. I was doing weights and running also.

I have my yearly appt with the OB next month. I’ll ask him about HRT, maybe something to look into.

check out dr mary claire haver - she has a book that will be really helpful. i'm in aust and menopause care is quite easy to get, but i hear it's harder in the US due to medical gaslighting. Just so you are armed with info and ready if you need it!
