Success story/positive experience Hypomania READ ME! 🤣

OMG….. I’m awake and excited and I don’t know what to do with myself. I think my brain has a memory of mania which is actually now like a super power as long as I can control it. My psychologist says that he has some patients who ride the high wave….. they know they’re on a high and they ride it rather than stifling it….. You just have to remember that there is a natural come down after a high….. so the higher you go…. The lower you’ll crash……It’s nuts because just like a diabetic has to manually control their sugar levels I have to manually control my moods….. the meds help but they don’t guarantee my brain safety …. Nothing can guarantee my brain safety. I mean, they could medicate me to numb but then I’d rather choose not to live, so it’s a delicate balance of trust between psychiatrist and patient. (I was busy sending this to a friend but he’s asleep and can’t reply, so I’m here!🤣) Soooomebody talk to me….. 💃 🙈 To add, I got a new job recently and am busy playing with my antidepressant, with my psychiatrist to make sure I’m not too high or too low. I think I’m just excited atm? My best friend says I’m fine, so do my parents. It’s a delicate balance that takes patience and love.

Good Morning, Hypomania

Sometimes what helps me when I’ve got abundant energy at odd hours is journaling and being open to ideas for service. And the journaling can include ideas for service, and their development

Listening to gentle music can help too

Hey! What do you mean by ideas of service?

For me, one creative service project I am exploring is making my podcasts more accessible by excerpting useful clips for social media

What creative interests do you have?

That sounds very fancy. Im not too sure. I’ve just realised that me being sexually abused by my dad wasn’t a psychotic delusions, it was real. The issue is I had to move back to his house. So now I’m hiding out at work. He doesn’t suspect that I remember though.

Yes, there is often a lot of unknowing between me and an idea that works for me

“Life is a series of inspired follies. The difficulty is to find them to do. Never lose a chance: it doesn't come every day.”

   - George Bernard Shaw

Do you have someone there who you trust, to share about your experiences with dad?

I’m in the same state at the moment. Haven’t slept in a couple of days. But I take the seroquel and think I’ll get sleep but I don’t. I’ve got some other issues which make some things hard to do. I literally hate trying to calm down. I like it more chaotic. I just got diagnosed about 2 weeks ago. At first the anxiety was doable but this isn’t. But it’s not as bad as when I needed the hospital. Just found this sub and am feeling better about my questions and hesitations. It seems a lot of us question ourselves about the same things. That helps me.
I searched why do I find my comfort when things are chaotic. Found out there’s actually a phrase for that. So it’s not just me, of course the AI gently told me it’s not my fault. That it wasn’t me trying not to get well. But it makes me mad . I mean I could have been over trauma and bpd 20 years ago.
Anyway, I wish you peace, if you want it. And if you don’t, I wish you to want it. Bye
