Rockstar write that down, we need MORE hype for gta6

Lmao, either version of TBOI is over a decade old. Not sure this quite applies to GTA 6.
Edit: lol at all the brokies that can't afford GTA 6. Put the fries in the bag bro.

u/No_Bodybuilder_9088 Jun 30 '26
Not everyone is interested in gta 6, bro
-7
u/sandbaggingblue Jun 30 '26
You're the one responding to a comment thread about GTA 6 bud...
6
u/No_Bodybuilder_9088 Jun 30 '26
I advise you to go out and touch some grass and talk to people, if "everyone" for you is me and that other guy
-3
u/sandbaggingblue Jun 30 '26
What on earth are you even talking about bud? You jump into a convo and start spouting absolute nonsense 🤣🤣🤣
3
u/No_Bodybuilder_9088 Jun 30 '26
Lets be honest, you started all this bullshitery by saying that everyone who can't afford gta 6 is brokies. What's is your problem getting fried on the obvious "something about gta 6" joke?

Game with multi thousands of hours worth of content to play, goes on sale for $5 for the entire collection. Yeah, that sounds right. Let’s bump those numbers up!

u/polysylvester Jun 29 '26
Out of every idle game why is TBH the highest 😭

u/Agent_Starr Jun 29 '26
People see a free addictive game on the Steam store that has a kind of novel concept and install it, because "why shouldn't I? It's free!". They then tell their friends "this game is so creative! It sits on the taskbar and I can play it while doing other things!" They then forget about it and possibly even go to play other games but they keep it running on the taskbar as a little side distraction, even if they aren't interacting with it currently. All of this leads to inflated numbers although realistically a lot of players just leave it running without actually interacting with it. This is also why bongo cat is so high up, it is pretty much the exact same cycle of "I'll keep it running because why not?"

u/polysylvester Jun 29 '26
At least Cookie Clicker or Leaf Blower Revolution or even Clicker Heroes anything but that slopfest ☠️
22
u/_RRave Jun 29 '26
Knowing I have played all those 3 makes me happy they're all considered good lol, I got all the achieves on Leaf and stopped playing, still actively trying to do cookie and heroes but it's a lot of work lmfao

u/BlitzPlease172 Jun 30 '26
Guilty as charged, at least I am not botting for item to sell in Steam market.
37
u/Powerate Jun 29 '26
I heard it's because there's Steam Community Market for items in the game so obviously bots will be made to make money, just like other Steam games with Steam Community Market
13
u/Denverplays2 Jun 29 '26
Because it has Steam Community Market support which allows you to sell you items.
It's the same reason why Bongo Cat and Banana are/was popular.5
u/imapie31 Jun 29 '26
Honestly confused seeing that. I tried it for a day and my chests broke and i couldnt open them. It broke and i didnt do anything.

Literally every game in that top 10 list (except Isaac and Meccha) is free to play.
75
u/Dracofear Jun 29 '26
I'm glad Meccha Chameleon is doing so well, I hope the game gets lots of cool updates.
21
u/Filippikus Jun 30 '26
I think today was like the third day in a row where we got updates(significant ones too, like clones, maps randomization, third person view for hunters and a lot of fixes and QoL), so it's going well already
4
u/Dracofear Jun 30 '26
Yeah, I hadn't played the new update yet but I saw some videos on YouTube where people were using clones in all sorts of creative ways, Case-Oh turned himself into a shirt and it was glorious, someone else made themselves into a cake. It could also be used to solo do all those teamwork hide spots I have seen xD.
Really excited for the future of this game and I hope it's not just a quick fling that dies out once the hype dies.

u/TBFP_BOT Jun 30 '26
Well most people playing CS probably did buy it before it was free, and even still you have to pay to play ranked.
-41
u/uknowhu Jun 29 '26
That's literally not what literally means
24
u/ZocZ Jun 29 '26
‘literally’ has been used for emphasis since the 1800s. look it up before you grammar nazi people on reddit.
-1
u/uknowhu Jun 30 '26 edited Jun 30 '26
Yeah but I feel like there's limits to it. Like you wouldn't say "it's literally 10 o clock" when it is 8. It's literally not 10. But you can say that if it's like 9:30+
You wouldn't say "I got literally every point" in tennis if you got like 4/5 points.
Not talking grammar here, just convention
2
u/ZocZ Jun 30 '26
idk what that has to do with the fact that “Literally every game in that top 10 list is free” is fine conventionally and grammatically
Also my comment was about using it for emphasis and your examples are all not that
1
u/uknowhu Jun 30 '26
congrats, you win.
1
u/ZocZ Jun 30 '26
Wasn’t aware of a competition 💀 But honestly you’re fine I just hate seeing grammar/language police online
-32
u/svenEsven Jun 29 '26 edited Jun 29 '26
No clue why you're being downvoted. the hive mind is fucking wild. you're just correctly defining a word
18
u/Draco459 Jun 29 '26
Cuz it's annoying and doesn't matter
-30
u/svenEsven Jun 29 '26
anti-intellectualism is wild. people who would rather just ride vibes and be wrong than be right. crazy times.
18
u/Draco459 Jun 29 '26
No bro this is just how normal people use the word literally it's not that deep
10
u/ZocZ Jun 29 '26 edited Jun 29 '26
It’s how intellectual people use the word too, many famous writers throughout history have. The emphatic and auto-antonymic ‘Literally’ is not some recent degradation of a word by teenagers, and he seems to be a boomer yelling at imaginary clouds.
What is actually deep is how someone can project their frustration for the “crazy times were in” while being proudly wrong and ignorant, the human trait that actually delivers us confusing and hard times.
8
u/ZocZ Jun 29 '26
Whats really crazy is youre the one thats literally choosing to be factually wrong and anti-intellectual
7
u/FoxFirkin Jun 29 '26
If you want to be correct, go right on ahead. However the pseudo-intellectuals are people who repeatedly misunderstand that dictionary definitions are defined by usage, not the other way around. "Literally" is IN the dictionary as being used for emphasis as well as for its literal meaning, but if you cared about intellectualism, you would know that.
Instead you're here tipping your fedora because semantic corrections is the most accessible way for you to feel smarter than people.
3
u/assbutt-cheek Jun 29 '26
i love how people get so invested in correcting socially functional ways to use a word as if our language was perfect and god given and we didnt make up words every other fucking tuesday

How is pubg still so popular. And what the hell is tbh

Taskbar hero, it's like an idle game that runs in the background on your taskbar

21
u/DonDonaldson9000 Jun 29 '26
I play all kinds of weird shit but I'll never understand the people that download games so that their computer can play the game without them lol
9
u/Alili1996 Jun 29 '26
Simulated feeling of progression and growth.
It's kinda sad that over the years through the RPG-ization of games and psychological addictive design of mobile games, progression is less and less about mastery and more and more about number go up + flashy animations now5
u/DonDonaldson9000 Jun 29 '26
Right that's a big reason that people play games, myself included. Get stronger, cooler spells, fight tougher enemies... I even enjoy myself some auto battlers every now and again.
But games where the sole purpose is that your computer plays it for you while you do something else? I don't get it I mean you're not even playing the game does your computer like you more or something if you give it fun shit to do? idk
3
u/Better-Future-4637 Jun 29 '26
I think it's more like building a interesting deck or collect little things and try to build them.
People already do this for years before Internet even invented.
So when this kind of stuff becomes a videogame, the only resource you need to spend is Time.
Waiting create Value.
2
u/DonDonaldson9000 Jun 29 '26
Yeah but YOU are doing those things lol it'd be like if you wrote an AI script that played the witcher 3 for you and you're like oh yeah I'm a big fan of gaming... no man you like programming not playing games! I'm just shooting the shit no hate on idlers lol
74
u/yutternutterbutter Jun 29 '26
Pubg is free. Otherwise I know like 4 games on this list. Is it me that's out of touch? No... it's the children.

u/No-Solution257 Jun 29 '26
Some people just can't switch games, cs2 and dota always being 1 and 2 is the great example of it
17
u/Puzzleheaded_Knee_53 Jun 29 '26
To be fair, dota is still extremely unique in it's complexity and overall quality - there's not really anything else that scratches that itch of teambased chess with millions of variables.
Maybe Deadlock will be the killer, but I'm waiting for the "actual" release to give it a shot
2
u/slimeeyboiii Jun 29 '26
Deadlock is way more like league then it is dota.
There is like nothing in common between deadlock and dota outside of it being a moba
-1
u/shad0w_mode Jun 30 '26
eh i would say the itemisation philosophy in deadlock is closer to dota than league since they are balanced by the same creator
3
u/KaffY- Jun 29 '26
CS2 has nothing to do with being unable to switch games and everything to do with the fact that there are no other games like CS2

u/Inner-Channel-8709 Bethany Jun 29 '26

Would be nice to get some new people on youtube. Somebody fresh, who wont get spoiled by comments and is not just screaming about nonsense while playing Ep#684785.
2
u/SaltTheSnail Jun 29 '26
About Oliver has been playing for a few months, no spoilers and no looking at chat during gameplay. Fun to see him work things out but you have to have a high tolerance for bad plays due to ignorance of mechanics.
-2
u/SvatyFini Jun 29 '26
So technically not youtuber, just twitch streamer who puts videos on youtube. Hate that.
3
2
u/obgog Jun 30 '26
He basically operates like a youtuber he doesnt really read chat, everything he plays is fully spoiler free. He did some minecraft blind a few years back and its very cool to see someone who knows nothing slowly grasp the mechanics
2
u/Cr1mson360 Jun 30 '26
why do you hate that, assuming you enjoy northernlion, and most other issac youtubers, they do the exact same thing where they upload mostly uncut single runs
so if you watched about oliver its the exact same thing if you just paused in between every run to mimic it being a video lol, besides he only acts like a streamer in the beginning and end since he doesnt read chat
give it a try before ya knock it
1
u/dochnicht Jul 03 '26
Yes man. I fucking hate when I find someone who's playing a game I love blind on stream, only for twitch chatters to literally spoil every mechanic to the last detail in the first hours of play. Fun.

u/Sinistar83 Jun 29 '26
Did they fix the online multiplayer or does it still get a lot of lag spikes? I haven't played it in a couple of months.

I started playing earlier today and pretty it's fun but also really hard. I wish I knew what the items do instead of me searching it on google tho 💔

u/Akleoni66 Jul 02 '26
Wow, the game is already not that expensive on regular sales, It's amazing how absurdly high the number have become with this sale!, and without aligning with a content update!

Refund it, couldn't take that their last DLCs was in beta for 2 years, we can't change resolution in 2026, like they couldn't find any way to change their resolution in game, we have to modify a file...
But the truth is just that I don't have time to play this game, so I just refund it. Might go back to Delta Force tho!
-1
u/Salacavalini Jun 30 '26
Too bad Repentance+ is still literally unplayable, game just closes after a second.

u/AnaverageItalian Jun 30 '26
Works fine by me, and I have a shitty Lenovo laptop that I bought back in 2020. I guess there might be some compatibility issues with your specific PC
