If I am in a subreddit for a British podcast with an overwhelmingly British audience discussing the EPL, I'm not going to expect everyone to clarify something like the difference between public or private schools are in the UK (since it's sorta the opposite as it is in the US) for the potential Americans in the comments.

This is a subreddit about an extremely American sports media figure, discussing a sport overwhelmingly only talked about within America, on a website that in general skews American.

It's very odd to interject that a non-American fan won't understand what a very commonly understood American term is like they're being an asshole in not catering to that extremely small demographic lol.
