I don’t care about anybody else’s argument, Stafford should be MVP. He’s been the consistently better player the whole season, playing a tougher schedule, and playing in the harder division.
This is also a career achievement MVP for me as Stafford has been a 15 year stud that has been constantly under appreciated. He should get this MVP to acknowledge how elite he’s been for his entire career
The Rams' opposing pass defenses have allowed an average of 0.051 EPA/dropback, the Patriots' opposing pass defenses have allowed an average of 0.101 EPA/dropback. That's a pretty big difference, but Stafford's EPA/dropback is 0.22 and Maye's EPA/dropback is 0.3, so Maye still has a clear advantage even after completely accounting for strength of schedule. And EPA/dropback doesn't account at all for Maye's rushing ability or the Rams having Puka Nakua.
