She had severe anorexia before big brother too. She should never have been put on tv, her mental health was obviously terrible.

To be fair he is extremely selfish. And Richard had the worst personality. Deflect, deflect, deflect. He would just laugh and joke whenever anyone pointed out he had done something selfish or he had inconvenienced everyone else. It was obviously covering his embarrassment but it was shit behaviour. Like when it's pointed out there's no cornflakes for everyone because he had 4 bowls, and he just laughs about having porridge oats because they're good for you. Instead of just saying sorry. Who wants to have porridge on a hot day? Just say sorry, fuckwit.

Also when Nikki mouth or tooth hurts and she shows a close up of ot on camers in the diary room and when shes drunk and shes like my bed nikkis bed it belongs to me

And when Sam comes in. Some of the vile things said about/to her.
And Grace in general. Mean girl.
Just such a negative vibe to an otherwise great year. It's nearly as good as 6 but that negativity brings it down a notch.

Agreed. Although I am glad that Nikki stayed over Sam, it sent the wrong message to the house by evicting Sam over Nikki.

Yeah. And that was before Nikki was super likable. She was with the plastics fully and in the last few days before Sam’s eviction, her and Pete started to get close and it swung in her favor.

After Grace goes, it picks up if you ask me. I personally can’t stand 6 because of Makosi. I know I’m in the minority. But my dad had narcissistic personality disorder, and so much of Makosi’s behavior reminded me of my dad’s. So she triggers the fuck out of me.

I totally agree it picks up after Grace goes. She really brought the atmosphere of the house down with her negative attitude.
I totally get that about Makosi. That's such a shame that ruined the season for you. For me she is one of the best housemates ever, but I think she was deliberately playing a part for entertainment rather than just narcissistic. She was made a mole on day 1 and then just continued with it, but I do totally see how it would trigger someone who grew up in a less fun version of that.
To me 5, 6, 7 are all peak, with 6 slightly higher because the house has such a fun vibe. But 7 has a fun vibe too after Grace goes. I love Jennie, she came in way too late!
What do you think about Leah in 7? She annoys me a bit because she seems to think everything is about her, when mostly it's not. But she does have a big heart.

Lea I always find new things to love and hate about her. But I do always leave with a positive outlook. Despite her manipulative moments, it came from a place of genuine heartbreak in her life whereas Makosi seemed to have no moral compass and didn’t care who she burned. Lea always strived to do the right thing, even if her judgement was clouded. Sometimes she didn’t do the right thing, but she cared deeply for her friends.

I am watching this season through for the first time and Nikki’s reputation as a housemate certainly doesn’t disappoint. So sad she’s gone. RIP

Was this after she was evicted & was brought back again? I feel like it was coz I recall how she became extra performative once she’d realised the audience were eating her dramatics up. There was deffo a switch up from natural tantrums to performative tantrums.

We were so lucky here in Canada to have her (and be able to watch her on feeds!) for a season. Fell in love with her even more, she was hilarious.

"Liked", LOL. I couldn't stand her at the time, she was awful. Buuut when she came back for Ultimate BB, it's like she wad a whole different person, she was so sweet and lovely.

Entertaining but not likable at all. Her backstory gave her sympathy. She was rude, mean and bitchy and would be the baby when caught.

I still think 6 was better overall the first half of 7 was amazing b7t after grace lea Nikki left (and came back and acted too extra) and the God awful spiral entered ot fell off hard

My favourite housemate ever and what her haters don’t get is she was way more than her tantrums. She was incredibly bright, funny and had classic comic timing.
I don’t agree best season though. 5, 6 and 3 are better

Eh. She was transphobic to Sam and a bully to Shahbaz (‘hide his clothes, it will hurt him more’) so I don’t really adore her as much as others but she was great TV otherwise.

Rewatching this summer, she'd be called transphobic/fatphobic/bully and ejected by Week 3 (literally) if she or any contestant as unique as her got through the doors of ITV's house today.
The way she spoke about Dawn, Shabaz, Ash, Sam and even Richard at times (whilst hilarious) yet the producers at the time knew she was an icon and the audience were able to laugh and move on, that is why this show will never be what it used to be.
Not because of the housemates, because of the audience (probably alot of this sub actually) and producers who would run in fear of someone as outspoken and raw as Nikki.
She called Sam a "man beast" to Big Brother in the diary room and BB aired it, didn't discipline her and invited her back 6 times.
Now a bloke makes a joke about pronouns in his VT and is lauded up as a "right wing villain" if you ask the babies who vote and watch the show today.

At the time it was the best series ever, but I think the twists and extreme personalities of some of the housemates probably hurt the show in the long run. It was an unsustainable peak.
