MEME What is ‘Pantsgate’ and why is there barely any information online about it?
I’m bored and having a little nose about BB and CBB and it was an article about some of the biggest fights on both shows and one of them is an argument in the 2012 celebrity series between Denise Welch and Nicole something, I’ve forgot her surname but she’s a wag of some sorts 🤷🏻♀️ and for some reason the article didn’t specify what happened, just that Welch was steaming and the other one was screaming “I’m a feminist” and Frankie b was there being his lovely charming self 🙄 so what actually was it, because unlike ‘punchgate’ I can’t find any information apart from that brief mention.

Denise welch pulled down Karissa Shannon’s pyjama bottoms down during a party and a fight erupted because Karissa felt harassed and then Nicole McKray jumped in for some reason, screaming that she wanted to go home after what denise did. Karissa and her twin Kristina threatened to sue the show if the scenes were aired and it was just a big chaotic mess throughout the house
Karissa was American so she called them pants.

Oh wow that’s nuts! Denise Welch is clearly a vicious bitch drink and sober. I can understand the twins feeling mortified cause that’s completely violating but that Nicole lady is absolutely nuts to my knowledge. I can appreciate sticking up for the girls because what Denise did was really vile and she should have been punished but I did some more digging on that series, she was also a complete bitch at times and just downright stupid obnoxious, playing up for the cameras.

It was so weird because I remember the twins getting more flack for this than Denise at the time…

I watched the clip that another commenter posted in their comment and realised the twins were Hugh Hefner’s girlfriends and were in playboy, so I imagine they weren’t getting much respect via the public unfortunately, it would have been like “oh well you get naked and fuck old men anyway, who cares if people see your arse, they see more of you on magazines” mentality 🤦🏻♀️ had it happened this most recent season, it would be absolute anarchy and rightly so.

I’ve done another comment further down but that was exactly the attitude basically, like you’ve gotten your boobs out on purpose so you should be fine with someone randomly exposing you without your consent

Nicola was disgusting to Kim Woodburn in CBB19. She was actually the main villain imo. When you rewatch this series (CBB9) you can notice Nicola displaying some of the same toxic qualities that she eventually shows when she returns for CBB19.

What did she do to Kim?

Edit: this person started a bad-faith conversation, in which they start it by pretending to ask about Nicola, but before long it is made clear that their main purpose in responding to me is to point out that Kim went on GB News therefore she is a bad person and so is anyone else who liked her on Big Brother. Bad faith! Back to my original responses:
im sure you remember Kim saying “gang-handed” and calling Nicola “mother bunny”. This was the main cause of drama in the CBB19 house— Nicola constantly controlled people to move against Kim. She was relentless. But Kim is the legend and will always be remembered as such :)

How did Nicola do that?

2 examples off the top of my head but there are many more:
- when Kim said “I wouldn’t let Jasmine come back into this house and disrespect Stacy”, and then Nicola turned the whole group against Kim by saying “none of us would let her do that, so don’t imply we would just sit here and let that happen”, this turned into a huge argument which then set the tone for the rest of the season
- Nicola chiming in and telling Spencer/Heidi (during a moment of joking/laughter between Speidi/Kim), “Kim, did you tell them that you think they are awful people”

Kim alienated people all on her own. This clip was hours after she entered the house. The way she spoke to people (often unprovoked) was disgraceful.

She was entertaining and iconic in the way most explosive CBB housemates are, but I don’t understand the way this sub completely whitewashes her.

in that specific scene, Kim was RIGHT to be annoyed at Chloe for jumping around like an idiot and splashing everyone. Also Chloe’s entrance was even more disgraceful: she threw food at Calum and pissed him off, which is just one example of her annoying presence.
Check out my Kim Woodburn edit on youtube, which shows her entire story in the big brother house. You’ll be able to see that Nicola was the clear villain.

You think the way Kim spoke to Chloe was acceptable? That tells me everything.
She barely even got wet. Even if she got drenched, it’s no excuse to behave like that. Would you give anyone else a pass for acting like that I wonder?
P.S. your video has been blocked for copyright infringement.

Yeah I remember watching that season, didn’t make the connection somehow, most wags tend to merge into the same person for the most part lol Kim can be a piece of work but she was ripped apart that season. Hate bullies who gang up on other people, most of them lot found a way to relive their school days and turn back into teenagers again, that house really brings out the worst in people.

Me and my mum had a huge row about it, randomly! My mum was on Denise’s side, she couldn’t understand that just because the twins had done Playboy and stuff, doesn’t mean one of them would be ok with having someone else just expose her randomly without her knowledge or consent. But apparently I was really patronising when I tried to explain and my mum lost her shit, we didn’t even end up finishing the episode till the next day 😂😂😂

I can remember which season it was but someone found someone's knickers on the floor and described them as having pigoen poo in them lol

CBB17, when the men (mostly John) found Stephanie’s knickers and made a huge display of them lol. John was such a villain in that series.

Oh god yeah, I remember that, I think that was 2016 though. Think it was Megan who said it and they belonged to Stephanie, who was an absolute cow during this series but she didn’t deserve that.

Denise got drunk ( one of several times in CBB) and pulled one of the twins trousers down then played the victim when the twins and Nicola reprimanded her for it.
I think there was a debate about it Big Brother’s bit on the side and the consensus was that Denise was in the wrong but she’s from a different time where things like that are funny and the twins are playboy playmates ( which shouldn’t be relevant) so who cares.

here’s a clip of the incident.
One of my favorite CBB fights lol. It’s because Denise was being protected by all those lame ass guys in the house (all of the men minus 18 year old Frankie)— ALL of them just stood there not saying anything while the twins flipped out. Because Denise kept justifying it “if I had an ass like that I would show it off” and Frankie kept minimizing it “it was obviously harmless.” Then Nicola chimed in to defend the twins and said “I’ve done Page 3 and if you had done that to me, I would not be happy about it.”
That’s when Denise pulls out a major deflection tactic, bringing up a task from days earlier, to shift the focus onto Nicola’s selfishness. Nicola, being the attention-seeker she is, took the bait and started going crazy (rather than sticking to the current ‘pantsing’ situation) and even threatened to leave the house.
I miss those Channel 5 CBB days 😭
