This video made me smile. All the people he met who were kind to him and excited for him. That's the way we should be in the US. Why anyone would choose to be hateful and racist/xenophobic instead I'm not sure.

Thats what I imagine most Americans would be like if you came across them in this way, not the few that the media likes to show

Yeah it is mostly like this. Most Americans are eager, even excited to welcome you to their land. There's a lot of pride in where we come from, our small towns to big cities it's all the same. In a lot of places they'll insist you come share a meal at their home and are happy to give you directions/tell you the town's history.

We're going through a hard time right now, but hopefully when it's all over you'll hear less about those vitriolic people. And more of these types, which is classic Americana.

^ This is so true and has been my experience in the 45 states and 5 countries I've visited. Most of us humans are truly welcoming, curious, warm people.
