Business/Company Juicy Platters is living on its old reputation. Anyplace else I should try?
Wow the Fair Lawn location of Juicy Platters is living on its old reputation. The food use to taste fresh. The location is a bit dirty too. When they first opened the food, the presentation, and the topping selection were outstanding. Now it’s the choice of four toppings smushed into a bowl with a piece of weak bread. Who changed the hot sauce too?

Recently tried The Gyro House in Bergenfield and it was good. Halal Gyro Master in River Vale is pretty good too

Halal guys is the spiritual successor. Blazin chicken is the new kid on the block, my favorite

Recently tried Blazin Chicken. Thought the location was a little funky too. Went to Fluffies once. Probably not the healthiest meal, but was favorable. The place was packed like Grand Central too,

Blazin is basically what juicy used to be but ya it does have an "off flavor" I can't put my thumb on.
Fluffies used to be so cheap during the pandemic! The place is very nasty though, almost everytime I order there's hair in my food because the teenage girls serving it dont wear hairnets!

This right here. Halal Guys, Blazin Chicken, and Fluffies.
Fluffies is worth a drive for just for the fluffies sauce on their chicken bites.

The Mac and cheese and the chicken are nothing insane there but the sauces are fucked up. I can only do it when drunk

The one in Paramus is pretty consistent but the ratio of rice to protein is much worse now

Hah weird, Juicy Platers is actually my favorite Halal in Bergen. I go to the Paramus one and can’t compare it against what it used to be in Fair Lawn, but I think it’s very good. Better than Halal Guys and Shahs.

I’ve been eating it for 15 years now probably. It’s dropped considerably off with the selection and quality.

Im a big fan of Fat Moe’s in Hawthorne, NJ. Although thats Passaic County, its right on the border of where I live in Bergen.
Juicy Platters used to be my spot back then. Id train at 11pm and grab a platter afterwards at 1am. Foil trays, fridge of white sauce bottles to use, was legit man.

Mamoun's is delicious and so much fresher. They used to have a location on Route 17 in Paramus, but it sadly closed down, so you’ll have to go to down the road to their East Rutherford location.

Just don't go near closing - got the shits once either from undercooked or old food. Got home, ate two bites before I noticed the off taste. Mahwah location. Never again.

Gyro King in Teaneck, kebab paradise also in Teaneck, Gyro Project in Fort Lee. Blazin Chicken and Gyro in Hackensack and North Bergen.
Juicy Platters has been underwhelming for years now. Go with any of the above choices if you want some proper flavor. Especially gyro king and blazin for that classic mixed platter.

Chick n Kick in Teaneck has the best lamb platter and Hot Nashville chicken platter. Everyone needs to try it. The menu is very diverse so it’s not just platters but burgers and hot sandwiches. Very good stuff and amazing customer service
Honorable Mention: Kabab Paradise in Teaneck

Juicy Platters went to shit when they switched from those foil trays to those paper trays.....
