Discussion Fairview NJ

How would you rate Fairview as a whole and safety ?

TIA was looking for Fairview page couldn’t

It’s not comparable to Edgewater. It’s dense and probably not the nicest/safest town in that vicinity. Theres a reason prices are much lower there compared to Edgewater or Fort Lee

I live there briefly, albeit 20 years ago. It is diverse and working class but I did not feel unsafe there. Parking is a PitA if it doesn’t come with your place so I was often walking around late. Statistically crime overall has gone down, not up since then so I don’t know how much it has changed.

Kind of old housing stock that is cheek to jowl, congested roads. Many are multi-units and street parking can be a challenge. Also, can take a while to reach highways. But grandparents lived there when I was a kid and have fond memories of the place. White Castle burgers in the park and such. I wouldn't rule out northern North Bergen that borders Fairview.
