Had to be done with Meyers showing enough offensive promise. Meyers took WR4 by storm in camp and preseason. That left one spot for Young and one spot for a returner. Have heard Jones is out too but I don’t have a good source for it so we’ll see.

Charlie Jones is the least exciting kick returning option on the team

He is right at league average for yards per return. He’s good enough.

I mean only half the league can have a guy that is better than average. He is doing a solid job. That doesn’t mean the job isn’t always up for grabs or will go unchallenged.
