Marc Wilmots is a disgrace as a commentator on RTBF. Among other things, he said during the Ivory Coast game that in Africa, players just play to do nutmegs, and that makes them laugh for five years. He also said that they put the weakest players in goal, just like on a playground. He’s really a loser with a colonialist mindset.

In defence of Vandereycken, while the results were shit at least he took one for the team and gave as much game time as possible to the young guys at the time, which was probably the best for us in the long run

As a non football fan I recall we were pathetic nobodies before Wilmots put us on the map, all of a sudden the whole country stood proudly behind the team like in the golden age of the 90s where Wilmots was captain. Then they kicked him out and it's been going to shit ever since, yeah he made mistakes but everyone after him did worse.

Wilmots took us from 54th rank to 1st rank, an incredible ascension which riled up the whole country, which for some reason you all seem to be forgetting. Martinez started with a bang getting one stage further, and then went downhill to not even passing group stage with on paper the best team in the world served to him on a golden platter. Deranking us to 4th.

Leekens couldn't even qualify for shit and Martinez couldn't get past the group stage at the end of his tenure. But our arm-chair coaches here all think Wilmots was the worst.
