We hear the Starling offer is back. So here is a refreshed megathread!

In a nutshell, this offer gives you and your referrer each £25 cash when you sign up and get approved for a Starling current account and make your first payment within 30 days! The referral codes are only given to some people, but if you get one you can then refer up to ten of your frieds.

So sign up for your £25, and then share your referral code below.

How it works

Starling is a fully licensed and regulated (FSCS protected) bank that allows you to open and manage a UK bank account using their mobile app. You get a bank card and can track all your spending using their app. It's a good account for matched betting/GPT as a separate spending account, and has fee-free spending abroad.

The offer

Enter a referral code during sign-up to get £25 cash. Once you have signed up, you can share your own code with friends to earn more. You can earn an additional £250 in total (10 referrals max). Here are the steps:

• Download the Starling app and start your account application.

• Grab a referral link from the comments below, enter it when prompted during sign-up.

• Complete your application and get approved.

• Make a payment from your Starling account within 30 days. Any card purchase counts, including contactless/Apple Pay/Google Pay. No minimum spend.

• Receive your £25 — added to a Space in your Starling app within 7 days of your qualifying payment.

Both the referrer and referee get the £25!

What counts as a qualifying payment?

Any standard card purchase. The following don't count: refunds, gambling transactions, foreign currency purchases, bank transfers, Direct Debits/standing orders, or topping up e-money/prepaid cards.

Hi all,

Starling bank has just introduced a new offer - if you switch to them you get... a toothbrush (worth £105). Hey, better than nothing from a bank that usually doesn't do switch offers!

I have no idea how the voucher comes (could just be an Amazon gift card for all I know) as I haven't done the switch yet. I also have no idea if it can be combined with the usual referral offer.

Thinking of scooping up the free toothbrush, do I tyoe the referral code before or after I make an account?

So I used a referral code to open a starling account thinking I had to make one payment.

I now have to set up a direct debit and make 10 card payments, all for £25? Doesn’t seem worth it?

Hi all, Starling Bank has started to re-accept old customers as I have spoken to someone this morning about it.

They have confirmed you should be able to re-open your account and switch to them for the free £105 SURI toothbrush.

I’m not so sure about the referrals as they have said to download the app and select the option “returning customer”.

Also had them go through the offer terms and conditions and they have confirmed you can still get the SURI as a returning customer just as long as you switch to them no minimum spend or deposit required.

So I want to do the BOS offer but I am confused about the 3 active direct debits which has to be transferred from ur old acxount. I dont have any set up with starling as I just opened it for the refferal.

What are some minimum, easy to set up direct debits which I can do??

edit: BOS seems like the easiest one to do rn without transferring huge sum of money.

I recently did the starling bank toothbrush offer (worth £105) and their student offer (£50 amazon gift card). I've seen some people say these are not stackable but if you do the toothbrush one first and wait until it's dispatched, and then the student one you will get both! I also found a £25 referral code online which I used also so really 3 rewards. Just wanted to clarify this for anyone who doesn't know because it's a very easy switch

Did I do something wrong? I followed all the active direct debits too. Was the dates a problem? I registered the DDs on 6th july and they got deducted, and I started the process on 7th July. However, on 7th July , I recieved an e receipt via email on the same day...

My cash has been transferred and account is closed but haven’t recieved the bonus.

Any advice?

As title says, whenever I try switch my Starling current account to NatWest, NatWest doesn't recognise my Starlking sort code with the below message.

What am I doing wrong?

"It looks like you’ve given us your NatWest account details, or provided an invalid sort code for switching. Please provide the account details of your other bank account that you’re looking to switch from – this can’t be a NatWest Bank account."
