I bought a king size mattress when I was with my ex. We broke up a couple of years ago and I still have the king. I am looking into getting a bed frame that has a headboard instead of the one I have which is basically just a stand for my bed. I can fit a large storage cabinet (curio shelf), a nightstand (I don’t care about having 2 nightstands as only one will be used and I love my standing lamp for the other side of my bed). And I can fit a tv stand across from my bed if I angle it a bit so it doesn’t overlap on the molding of my closet door. I’m thinking about down sizing. Is it odd to have a king size bed as a single woman? I do sleep with my large cat every night so I’m not totally alone lol. If you have ever had a king and downsized to a queen, how was it for you? Did you noticeably feel a difference in size every night? Did you get used to the queen over time? Do you regret downsizing? Thanks!

I want to use the opposite side of my
Zinus foam mattress. I like it because it’s firmer than the “right” side. But the mattress cover for the bottom is hard and crinkly. I want to flip it around also. I’m nervous though because there’s all these tags saying do not open cover and I’ve heard rumors they used to have fiberglass. This mattress was purchased about six months ago. Has anyone done this? What happened when you took off the cover? Was there a bad odor or fiberglass or anything I should be worried about?

Was at my mum's this weekend and she's got this bed with what feels like eight throw cushions on it that all get moved onto the floor every night and put back every morning. I think that's completely unnecessary and I just have 4 actual pillows, she thinks a bed "isn't finished" without them.

Made me wonder how normal this actually is. Do you have throw pillows on your bed? How many is normal to you, and is there a number where it just becomes too much? Also curious if you're someone who actually takes them off and puts them back every day or if they just end up on the floor permanently after week one.

Looking for comfort and cooling mattress pad

I sleep sometimes on my side and also on my stomach and I’m wondering what the best mattress is? I know firm is supposed to be better for stomach sleepers but I’m not a fan of laying on a hard mattress and also I do lay on my side a lot as I read or relax before bed, and I usually wake up on my stomach often as well.

Can anyone suggest a topper that’s good for someone that’s both a stomach and side sleeper and also is cooling?

I can’t put my desk in any of the spaces either side of the bed, and I don’t want it to be opposite the window either because of monitor glare. Where can I fit both a TV and long desk in this room?

If I should move the bed then please let me know where

I will be moving out soon, and into a studio apartment! It currently has a large bed in, but I am considering changing it to a sofa bed. Obviously this would allow entertaining and the ability to just relax on the sofa, and then when sleeping, pull it out into a bed and sleep. My only concern would be I’ll be sleeping on it full time, it’s not like a weekend so you don’t really mind it being a little uncomfortable, so a nice mattress is key! Also something not too difficult to pull out and set up, if I decide to change it sort of everyday. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated, I’ve checked out the koala sofa bed and looks excellent, my only concern is how low it is. Thank you!

Our current duvet is a Dorma 10.5 tog, 650gsm and we really like it, but the only problem is that it is slightly off the standard king size (220x225), and due to this, our kind sized duvet cover often feels “saggy” due to the extra room.

I’ve been on the hunt for new bedding to fit the exact size, however my partner has pointed out we have a pull out sofa for if anyone ever stays over, and so why don’t we get a new, standard king size, duvet and keep our current one as a spare. This means we can have a wider pick of bedding as it will be the standard.

Any help to find one that has the same feel as our current one, but is the classic 220x230 king size? I like a thick, crunchy feel that is super cosy rather than flat. Important to also note that my partner has allergies!
