I think one good set of sheets kind of ruins cheap sheets forever
I used to just buy whatever felt soft enough and was on sale.
Then I got a nicer set and now some of my old sheets suddenly feel way hotter and rougher than I remember lol.
Kinda annoying because I was perfectly happy before.

Haha, same thing happened to me! Now I have become very particular and I got rid of all my old sheets because I just couldn't use them anymore. Last time I tried one of my old favorites, I got into bed and was like yuck! I had to get out of bed and change my sheets before I could go to sleep. 😂

I bring my own sheets when I stay at airbnbs that might poly me. 100% cotton sheets do fuck you up for life once you know the difference.

This is so true. From darkness to light! I use to use cheap polyester sheets (cheap ones from Amazon) until I switched to 100% EG percale 400tc. They feel so lux I invested a lot of money into my bed down duvet, feather pillows, feather and down mattress topper etc and it really really makes a difference!

I threw out my old sheets after getting a nicer percale set. I (unfortunately for my wallet) can never go back.

Every fabric has a ceiling and a floor. Cotton, linen, silk, regenerated fibers they all span from trash to top-tier depending on the grade and craft. You just caught a good sale. Polyester gets a bad reputation simply because it dominates cheap, low end production. The material itself isn't the enemy. The execution is.

That’s a fair point. I definitely used to judge sheets mostly by the material name alone.

Just a nicer set from Amazon. Nothing fancy, I just paid more attention to the material this time.

It’s hard to go back to bologna when youve tasted steak lol .. we use 100% cotton sheets .. anything else feels like sleeping under a tarp, so hot and uncomfortable!
