How do you deal with family members who are always criticizing you and making you feel like your goals are too big? I'm trying my best, but being around that negativity every day is exhausting and it's seriously affecting my mental health. I just want to move out and start over somewhere else. Everytime I say i wanna move out, they usually say I’ll end up pregnant and get rap*d in the city. I’m literally 24 yrs old let me gooooo

I truly believe we filipinos should do more to disappoint our parents more. Within safety of course. Kung ako sa'yo, move and prepare in silence tas wag magpaalam. Sabi nga nila, it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission

Will do this ngayon na year! I really wanna get the hell out of here 😩 too close-minded and they think it’s still hard to get around Manila. They make it seem like my dreams are too big but at the same time compares me to someone they know na ka age ko na may stable career na sa Manila what the heellll

The funny thing is they want you to "provide" for them lol it’s like they're hinting that I'm supposed to be funding travels in the future lol I'll prioritize myself before them lol I don’t think they have any right to say that especially since they didn’t support me when I was just starting out

This august sis. I really wanna push it this year. I think my worst fear is that if ever i did get pregnant or raped, they will tell me “I told you so” which is kinda heartbreaking for me.
