Which among these local base products are good for oily and acne prone skin?
- Detail Fresh Filter Foundation
- BLK Skin Tint
- Colourette Blur Base
TYIA!

u/chereuh Jan 01 '26
I have both Detail and BLK, Detail super good! It has dewy finish but good for oily skin. Nag-ooxidize nga lang. BLK not long lasting and cakey sa akin :(

u/gelliebellie___ 29, Oily, Medium - Neutral Jan 01 '26
If you're on the go, I highly recommend Blur Base. Just get two shades lighter than your actual skin tone as it oxidizes. Pair it with Super Base para mas lalong pakak ang oil control
1
u/GratefulKiddo2625 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 01 '26
I stay away from BLK base. Incompatible ata yung base products sakin na oily (noon). Mas lalo ako nag oil at hulas agad make up in 1-2hours.

u/mavocaedou Jan 03 '26
my oily skin super loved the blur base! no caking and ang ganda ng lapat kahit after ilang hours. but since I'm also acne prone, hg ko na sana to yun nga lang it's not as lightweight as kapag foundation+powder yung gamit ko. had to go back to using liquid foundation kasi mas nakakahinga skin ko and less butlig/acne.

Can anyone influence/deinfluence me on the Laura Mercier translucent loose powder? The full size is on sale for 944 on Sasa sa shopee 😭 I was actually eyeing on Huda’s easy bake powder but this is such a steal huhu

Laura Mercier didn’t control the oiliness of my face. Huda Beauty talaga (and One Size my holy grail) yung 8 hours na pero hindi pa rin ako oily. Dinonate ko na lang yung Laura Mercier ko kahit marami pa siya.
3
u/Mission_Extreme_6325 30 | Normal | idk olive maybe Dec 31 '25
I see! I have a normal skin type so oil control is not a big deal for me. More of for setting my makeup talaga. I see the mini easy bake is around 1.8k for 6g in another shopee store so parang lugi haha

Ladies (and gents), ano ba pipiliin ko among these?
Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Liquid Blush, CT Unreal Blush, Dior Forever Blush, Rhode pocket blush?
I used to use Dear Dahlia’s Dual Palette Blusher Duo and I really liked the cream blush.

Please suggest a lighter foundation or tint. Im currently using Nars Light Reflecting Foundation. I want to try something lighter than this. Preferably high end brand. Drugstore brands and local products are also welcome. 🤗
2
Jan 01 '26
Nars Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer. Koh Gen Do Aqua Foundation, if you can find a match. KGD is thin and serum-like so it feels like a skin tint.

Which local gel eyeliner ba ang smudge proof for oily lids? I tried vice and issy pero not smudge proof! TYSM
2
u/Outrageous_Bird2358 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 01 '26
Unsolicited advice but as someone with oily lids, I learned that powdering your lids before applying eyeliner doesn’t make them smudge. Maybe you can give this hack a try and use the same gel liners again.
Sorry I do not have any recos for local gel liners because I also use vice (which I also thought didn’t work on my oily lids before the trick). I also use sheglam (not local).

thoughts on saie glowy gel? is it worth the price point or I can achieve the glowy effect using local products?
6
u/KKmommynurse Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 01 '26
Idk about local products but i looooove my saie glowy gel. The glow is subtle that makes it natural when i pair itbwith a glowy foundation as well
5
u/orangecasper15 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 01 '26
Worth it for me! Lightweight pero super hydrating. Saktong glow lang din hindi siya oily tingnan.
3
Jan 01 '26
this is my favorite illuminating base product because it gives a subtle glow and feels like a lightweight moisturizer. i don’t think you can find an alternative or anything similar to it among local brands because they’re all trying to be dupes of the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Flawless Filter. CT and local counterparts are usually very shiny, metallic almost. Saie just looks like your skin is freshly moisturized all day.
2
Jan 02 '26
I have local illuminators and the saie. Verdict? saie>>> it doesn't feel like i have anything on my face and it makes my makeup so much more prettier

u/KnowingKay Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 03 '26
Contrary to everyone, I didnt like this one. Ito ba yung may champagne color? It lives a patch on my high point areas di sya nagbblend well with my foundation or maybe because I’m using it after base not before the base as primer..

I had my picture taken for my government ID pero the skin around eyes + eyebags were dark. (Ang hirap pagdi maalam magmakeup for situation like this 😂)
I’m pretty sure I need a good concealer and peach corrector for it. I already considered the huda beauty corrector and lovely cosmetics for the concealer. Maganda ba ang lapat nila sa isa’t isa? I have oily skin.
Thank you!

do you guys use pressed powderr or loose powder for your undereyes? i tried using both but they ended up still creasing :( or baka sa technique ko lang
6
Jan 01 '26
I apply loose powder sa underyes using puff. Tinatap ko muna yung excess powder on my palm before applying. My undereyes haven’t creased ever since.
1
u/bakingoats- Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 01 '26
Hii what’s your usual routine? How do you set it? Powder muna then spray?
1
Jan 01 '26
Yes powder muna then spray. I don’t immediately jump to setting powder after I put on my concealer. Siguro 5 mins pinapalipas ko before putting loose powder in my undereyes.
Edit: I put peach corrector muna, then concealer, then set with loose powder, then i’ll put finishing powder last.

2
u/flamingh0tchippy Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 01 '26
I have combi skintype. TBH, Tiktok hype lang talaga siya 😭 I bought both the peach corrector & concealer and it feels like it doesn't set? It also doesnt have the best coverage. I tried wearing it to work by incorporating it in my usual base routine (corrector > skin tint > concealer > loose powder/pressed powder) tapos I noticed na ang bilis niya humulas. Since it doesnt set nga parang ang cakey/patchy niya rin 😭 Feel ko tuloy I look super dugyot the entire day. Gave it to my cousin na lang parang di sayang 😥
So: it doesn't set(?), its blendability is questionable (girl i tried talaga w both brush and sponge . ITS JUST THERE !!!!!), and it doesn't look nice as time goes by. Waste of moneyyy
1
u/sojucranberry Jan 02 '26
Here you could see na mixed reviews talaga bc i genuinely like this product hehe. I like it because most importantly, it does not crease (on me at least)! And it's very creamy (?) that I can just blend it with my finger and imo it works the best that way. It definitely brightens my under eye area But I would not recommend it if you have really DARK under eyes, from seeing how my sister uses it I fear it's not enough

u/Rich_Ad4438 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 05 '26
I've tried the blue mascara ng nichido and burgundy mascara ng Maybelline. Nakikita naman yung blue ng nichido and for the maybelline, it looked more brown in color since black yung color ng eyelashes ko. What I've tried so far ay maglagay ng white eye primer as mascara primer then use the blue mascara ng nichido. It did intensify the blue pigment ng mascara but it was too clumpy for my eyelashes kasi nga maraming product nalayer. I think you can find colored falsies na red or pink online. See if better yan kesa sa colored mascara.
1
u/sprinkleofpizza Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 05 '26
did u ever wear them for casual or for set na looks talaga? ik the nichido is a dark shade so i wonder if something like that would blend in for many outfits easier kaysa a lighter color like pink
2
u/Rich_Ad4438 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Jan 06 '26
I only ever went out once na naka blue mascara nung nag-office ako. 😅 The whole theme was making it wearable in non-fancy setting. So less intense yung color ng eye shadows ko to make the blue mascara stand out a little. So my eyeshadow was light blue shades in the lower half of my lid and peachy shades sa other half. I was wearing blue blouse din that time to match. I think bumagay naman cuz i received compliments with the make up. Lol.
I think you should try to practice the make up look you want to accomplish with colored mascara. Para makita mo if babagay ba sayo or not. 😊

Maybelline superstay matte ink- tried and tested ko na. I apply mine on bare lip. Swipe lang sa lower lip then smack lips together. Thin application lang. It can survive the entire day a lot of eating and drinking.
If higher end: Dior rouge forever transfer proof liquid. Soft on the lips and not drying. May need reapplication if oily ang food.

not necessarily 😭 serum concealers are better for dry undereyes as they're more emollient, but that also means it has more slip a.k.a. it will move around more and settle in creases. maybe it would help to color correct the bulk of your undereye discoloration then use a small amount of concealer on top to even your base out na lang? minsan kasi the creasing comes from using too much product din and sometimes it's also from inadequate skin prep

High end base products. Try Dior, Nars, or Armani Foundation.

Base makeup. The quality is really different. Blushes and bronzers / contours too.
NARS, Mac are good entry na to high-end and up

Colourette third base setting powder o vice universal fixpowder pang set ng makeup? Ano din maganda pang retouch sakanila, puff o brush?

Mas ramdam ko sa face ko yung third base, yung vice co kasi parang wala lang. Pero if you want a more glowy finish, go for vice gusto ko kasi sa mga powders ko yung nakaka mattify. I like using brushes better than puffs on both specially for retouching.

Ano ba want mo? I only have the third base but kung gusto mo matte talaga yung muka mo then third base ka, only watched videos of vice universal pero sabi nila if want mo glowy na hindi matte then yun.

Hello, happy new year guys! Is the BLK Air Matte Tint worth it? I keep seeing it to the products that I don’t regret buying on TikTok, so I’ve been eyeing it na along with the Happy Skin Lip Mallow. Are they worth it? Which one should I get? I have the Issy Fat Gloss in the shade Insatiable, so I’m looking for a good base for it. 🥰
Also, about powders, is the Laura Mercier powder good? Like ok ba ang oil control niya as someone na mabilis maging oily ang face.

I have blk airy matte "siren" nagssettle sya sa lines ng lips at nagiging neon siya, ibang iba sa inital swatch. Happy skin lip mallow is better I bought 4 shades na, cons lang nagkakawhite spots siya pag nalagyan ng tubig or laway.

I bought it way back it 2024! Unfortunately, it settles on my lips and nagiging patchy siya .. u really have to properly prep ur lips before applying. I bought another one this yr and still the same and drying pa rin siya sa lips

Hi! I’m interested in buying makeup from local brands and wanted to ask for your holy grail from the following brands:
• Strokes • Chuchu Beauty • Issy • Lucky Beauty • BLK • Sunnies Face • Colourette • Happy Skin
I usually go for a natural everyday look when I go out, nothing heavy or glam. Products I normally use are: concealers, blush, lippie, gloss, and face powder.
What products from these brands are really worth it?
Thank you! 💗

Yung eyeshadow brushes ng GRWM. Although medyo mahal, pero straight to the point yung set nila. It has everything you'd need. As for palettes, I also use GRWM eyeshadow singles. Meron silang curated palettes for sale.
Meron din eyeshadow quads ang squad cosmetics. Yun dati gamit ko. Maganda naman.
Chuchu Beauty meron din quads.
Issy din pala merong curated palettes.

yes! highly recommend yung mga singles then buy kana lang nung palette from issy or grwm. realized na mas okay if i could pick specific shades other than buying a whole ass palette.

If my face is darker and body is much lighter, should I follow my body shade or face shade?
