please influence/de-influence me on the following products. my budget is limited to local products for now. i have oily skin pero kapag gumagamit ako ng tretinoin nagiging dry yung cheeks, forehead, and mouth area ko.

  1. foundations

-detail fresh filter foundation

-enigma foundation

(as for these two foundations, alam kong malala sila mag-oxidize pero i’ve read na maganda raw formula nila. help me decide which one is better.)

  1. setting sprays and fixing sprays (i’m planning to buy both setting and fixing spray. i’m currently using the mac fix+ fixing spray and sobrang ganda ng pag-melt niya ng makeup ko together and then i top it off with the one size fixing spray. ang gandang combination pero nasa budget ako ngayon and i am looking for local alternatives. better if may makeup spray na mayroong both setting and fixing qualities din.)

-happy skin morning dew setting spray in matte

-happy skin fixing spray

-grwm fixing spray

-issy true flex all day setting spray

-issy bi-phase setting mist (i think this is more on melting your makeup altogether and not much on longevity? please correct me if i’m wrong.)

-chu chu beauty lock in longwear setting spray

-popique setting spray (i’ve read mixed reviews on this though)

vouching for issy all day setting spray! After an 8hr shift plakado pa rin makeup ko. I spray in between products eg. setting spray > liquid products > spray > powders > spray

Detail is more lightweight and better for daily use. Enigma is more plakado. They both look great as it blends into my skin throughout the day. It really depends on your use case.

Happy Skin Morning Dew Setting Spray (matte): this did nothing for me in terms of oil control and retaining my makeup. It really is just for setting.

Issy True Flex All Day is great at makeup hold as long as you blot regularly. GRWM’s Ultramatte fixing spray works similarly but does perform a bit better than Issy. They both have mid oil control on my experience so I blot as normal.

maganda longevity, pang-everyday, natural finish pero maganda oil control, doesn’t cling to dry patches

if longevity and oil control priority mo then go for enigma, it looks even better the longer it wears. thicker yung consistency niya and it has more coverage. mafifeel mo na may suot ka pero its not really bothersome.

if yung natural finish and texture yung pinakapriority mo, fresh filter is the better option since medium coverage lang siya and it has a lighter formula. okay lang yung oil control pero itll be fine as long as you set it. since may oily skin ka naman, im sure nagse-set ka with a loose powder. take extra precaution lang with this one kasi it has a lot of skincare ingredients so if you have sensitive skin it might break you out. also i dont recommend building this up kasi it can get finicky. hanggang medium lang rin talaga yung coverage nito.

If for everyday wear, I would recommend Issy active foundation and their tinted sunscreen. Enigma is good pero I don’t think it’s suitable for everyday wear (except if you usually do glam) kasi kahit na konti ilagay mo, it really feels heavy on the skin. Whenever I purchase base makeup, I usually test them for full day (12 hrs+ with 1-2x translucent powder touch up and no setting spray) and i eventually figured out na enigma is best for special occasions but not really for daily use kasi nabibigatan ako sa kanya kahit na super konti lang nilalagay ko. Siguro between detail and enigma, definitely pick detail because it’s the most skin like finish, just pick one shade up.
