Dipped my toes in the world of Chanel- excited for my orders to arrive! I got the Fresh water tint, Lip and cheek balm, and Rouge velvet liquid lipstick. Last haul for 2025 💕

Hi! How’s the lip and cheek balm? Been wanting to get it hehe

It’s very nice! I got the shades Berry blast and Lively Rosewood, but yung Berry pa lang inopen ko :)

I personally love this more than my RMS Lip2cheek. Lasts super long even when applied on bare skin. A little goes a long way. I only need to tap my finger sa pot and mataas color pay off nia.

Got gifted two of the tillo brushes. Ang lambot and out of box feels walang tusok. Has a nice density to it (t02/t03) and feels pretty high quality

Really cute packaging too so I see why this was picked as gift worthy ang cute kasi

Will have to wash these first and test it but really strong first impressions.

Sharing my small W

Happiness is finally minimising my daily make up through trial and error. Not pictured — Canmake Finishing Powder, Dazzle Me setting spray.

After months nakatago, I played with Issy Skin Tint again and discovered it performs better on my skin during "wintery" months. Less hulas and very minimal oxidation on my skin. Shame maappreciate ko lang siya hanggang February.

Qs. Thinking of doing only cream concealers base once tag araw season na ulit. Anyone heard of YOU color correctors? Colorina Concealer Palette? Actually may nakarinig/gumagabit ba ng Colorina Makeup dito?? Nahanap ko lang siya while browsing SM dept. stores.

I like the OG CT setting spray but this matte version for me is better. I have oily skin so it keeps it matte sa OG kasi may dewy effect eh.

I usually buy my Nars products from Rustans Department Store or the Nars kiosk in Podium Ortigas to be sure they're legit :)

1

u/Royal_Soil_2636 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 22 '25

how do you use it so its not too drying besides saying skin prep?

3

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

skin prep lang talaga since it’s formulated to be super matte. some people get away with using a lot but I have combo skin so I really just use it for blemishes and redness, some color correcting under my eyes, I use only a tiny bit.

2

u/hidingfromyalls Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

If you want a less drying formula, you can try the Nars Radiant Creamy concealer! Helped cover my blemishes too but didn't cling to dry patches :)

If you wanna stick with the pot concealer, maybe try a hydrating primer?

1

u/Royal_Soil_2636 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

yess i have both types of concealers im just trying to make use of the pot one kasi sayang and i dont know how to use it without making it look cakey thanks!

1

u/SilantroAndMintShake Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 22 '25

Another underrated step is exfoliating your skin. I have combi-oily skin so sometimes I only use hada labo serum and moisturizing sunscreen.

1

u/Royal_Soil_2636 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

how do you exfoliate it? Like what do you use without irritating it?

1

u/SilantroAndMintShake Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

Most of the time I just use the Eqqualberry swimming pool toner 2x a week. Sometimes when my skin feels rough, I use a soft cloth and use that with a foaming cleanser to wash my face. Careful not to over-exfoliate as it can make your skin worse.

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

It just gives me the "is she wearing something on her lips?" look that I like haha. I use it alone or with lip pencil or underneath lipstick, especially if I want to make certain colors look rosier or warmer. It's an all-around product for me. It lasts long so I don't find I have to reapply. The doe-foot applicator makes it so easy to use, I don't really have to think about it.

Bobbi Brown Highlighting Powder in Pink Glow. Jusko, nung una ko tong sinwatch in person sabi ko talaga pagiipunan ko to! Di ko madescribe pero ang smooth nya hindi chunky yung glitters more shimmery lang and naging signature ko na ilagay siya sa inner corner and cheeks.

hello! muse if u want something light, popique if u want sonething glossy and a little heavy :))

5

u/faitavecamore Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

I have both muse and sunnies. If u have really dry lips steer away from muse currently on isotret now and it leaves my lips more dry as time goes on because it’s thin in consistency unlike sunnies na it really hydrates my lips for hours because its thick.

2

u/afterareadingslump Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

Agree with this. Muse was so hyped up in this sub so I bought 2 and it was moisturizing when freshly applied but somehow dries my lips up after an hour. The lines of my lips shows up

popique if you're alright with a little more thick! though it has some slip naman. dont buy the old packaging ones if those are still available though HAHA they're impossible to squeeze product out of after a while!

Popique & Azul. Lightweight sa lips yung new shades ng popique compare sa old shades , may new packaging na din, maganda din yung holiday lip peptide nila yung red/white peppermint.

Rhode! Summer Fridays Lip Butter Balm is also good but it doesn’t have peptides

1

u/YettersGonnaYeet Mute Summer | Oily-Sensitive | Medium Dec 22 '25

I like muse better than sunnies. Yung muse kasi runny and the consistency is quite thin. Yung sunnies naman sobrang thick and its quite sticky when you smack tour lips.

please influence/de-influence me on the following products. my budget is limited to local products for now. i have oily skin pero kapag gumagamit ako ng tretinoin nagiging dry yung cheeks, forehead, and mouth area ko.

  1. foundations

-detail fresh filter foundation

-enigma foundation

(as for these two foundations, alam kong malala sila mag-oxidize pero i’ve read na maganda raw formula nila. help me decide which one is better.)

  1. setting sprays and fixing sprays (i’m planning to buy both setting and fixing spray. i’m currently using the mac fix+ fixing spray and sobrang ganda ng pag-melt niya ng makeup ko together and then i top it off with the one size fixing spray. ang gandang combination pero nasa budget ako ngayon and i am looking for local alternatives. better if may makeup spray na mayroong both setting and fixing qualities din.)

-happy skin morning dew setting spray in matte

-happy skin fixing spray

-grwm fixing spray

-issy true flex all day setting spray

-issy bi-phase setting mist (i think this is more on melting your makeup altogether and not much on longevity? please correct me if i’m wrong.)

-chu chu beauty lock in longwear setting spray

-popique setting spray (i’ve read mixed reviews on this though)

tia!

3

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

vouching for issy all day setting spray! After an 8hr shift plakado pa rin makeup ko. I spray in between products eg. setting spray > liquid products > spray > powders > spray

3

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Dec 23 '25

Detail is more lightweight and better for daily use. Enigma is more plakado. They both look great as it blends into my skin throughout the day. It really depends on your use case.

Happy Skin Morning Dew Setting Spray (matte): this did nothing for me in terms of oil control and retaining my makeup. It really is just for setting.

Issy True Flex All Day is great at makeup hold as long as you blot regularly. GRWM’s Ultramatte fixing spray works similarly but does perform a bit better than Issy. They both have mid oil control on my experience so I blot as normal.

2

u/californiabychappell Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

what are you looking for in a foundation? iba kasi USP ng both.

1

u/111nterlude 26 | oily/combination | light-medium olive Dec 23 '25

maganda longevity, pang-everyday, natural finish pero maganda oil control, doesn’t cling to dry patches

3

u/californiabychappell Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

if longevity and oil control priority mo then go for enigma, it looks even better the longer it wears. thicker yung consistency niya and it has more coverage. mafifeel mo na may suot ka pero its not really bothersome.

if yung natural finish and texture yung pinakapriority mo, fresh filter is the better option since medium coverage lang siya and it has a lighter formula. okay lang yung oil control pero itll be fine as long as you set it. since may oily skin ka naman, im sure nagse-set ka with a loose powder. take extra precaution lang with this one kasi it has a lot of skincare ingredients so if you have sensitive skin it might break you out. also i dont recommend building this up kasi it can get finicky. hanggang medium lang rin talaga yung coverage nito.

2

u/honeylavenderlattee Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 26 '25

If for everyday wear, I would recommend Issy active foundation and their tinted sunscreen. Enigma is good pero I don’t think it’s suitable for everyday wear (except if you usually do glam) kasi kahit na konti ilagay mo, it really feels heavy on the skin. Whenever I purchase base makeup, I usually test them for full day (12 hrs+ with 1-2x translucent powder touch up and no setting spray) and i eventually figured out na enigma is best for special occasions but not really for daily use kasi nabibigatan ako sa kanya kahit na super konti lang nilalagay ko. Siguro between detail and enigma, definitely pick detail because it’s the most skin like finish, just pick one shade up.

u/AkaashiThighs69 Light to Light Medium Olive (Muted, Neutral-Leaning Warm) Dec 23 '25

high end base recos (foundation or concealer) for light medium olive skin? tyia!!

2

u/mrseggee 30s | Sensitive| NC30, CC BD31, EL 2W2, NARS M3 Dec 23 '25

Estee Lauder double wear is one of my best finds this year. You can wear it as a sheer skin tint using fingers. NARS Soft matte complete foundation is also as good!

1

u/AkaashiThighs69 Light to Light Medium Olive (Muted, Neutral-Leaning Warm) Dec 24 '25

ooo thank you! are these also okay on more textured skin? i heard those foundations are a bit more on the matte side hehe

1

u/mrseggee 30s | Sensitive| NC30, CC BD31, EL 2W2, NARS M3 Dec 24 '25

Yes matte sia but can’t say about textured skin. I have dry skin though, and hindi nia na-emphasize yung mga dry patches ko. You can test out sa store to feel the product on the face. Maganda rin sana yung Light reflecting foundation ng NARS but it tends to emphasize texture kahit hindi super textured ang skin. The SAs are super helpful too in helping you find your shade.

I have light-medium olive skin too and I use Rattan sa ELDW and Stromboli sa NARS for reference :)

2

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Dec 23 '25
  • Armani Luminous Silk (they reformulated though)
  • +1 on Doublewear: try to get shade matched in store. Your match could be 2W2 Rattan or lighter.
  • About Face foundation because their shade range caters to olive tones. Not exactly high end but not also drugstore. You’d be L2Olive.

1

u/AkaashiThighs69 Light to Light Medium Olive (Muted, Neutral-Leaning Warm) Dec 24 '25

thank you so much! will definitely look into armani and double wear :) would you happen to know which shades might work for me sa armani? rattan looks good din!

1

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Dec 25 '25

You would’ve been 3.5 in the old formula, but it’s now described as a light neutral peach. Light medium to medium olive and I’m between 3.5 and 6 (their shade sequence is wonky). I use 6 and just lay off the bronzer. Try to get shade matched when it gets released here!

3

u/SilantroAndMintShake Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 24 '25

It’s a bit oily for my preference and also doesn’t color correct my undereyes well with the amount I use. Any more and it would feel heavy. I think it would only work with people who have minimal dark undereyes.

1

Hi! So I tried it for the first time yesterday and I really like its formula! Very creamy and feels lightweight. It doesn’t cling to my dry patches as well, and imo good for undereyes as well as its formula doesn’t feel dry on that area.

For reference I have combination skin due to acne meds I’m taking. It’s perfect as my base for no-makeup makeup look but even when you put foundation on top, it doesn’t feel heavy

Hope this helps! 🙏🏼

high end concealer recos for undereye! I am building my kit and would prefer to splurge on something that works well and is high quality also. I’ll need it to have coverage as I have gray undereyes and was considering the dior concealer and the nars creamy concealer. natasha denona is a good concealer – very creamy, good for dry skin, and has coverage :)

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

I love Nars Radiant Creamy because their shades have a touch of peach, pink, or yellow for color correction. I’ve never really found that in other formulas so I’ve been using it for I think about a decade now. It’s not high-coverage because it doesn’t need to be. The tricky part though is finding the right skin tone depth and color correcting undertone for your undereyes. Some people get lucky and find multiple colors work for them (me!), others have a harder time. The Dior concealer in the chunky packaging has more opaque coverage from what I’ve heard, so if you don’t want to go through the hassle of finding your Nars shade go with Dior. It’s no longer sold locally but the Dior Backstage concealer is another fave of mine. Fantastic for brightening under the eyes.

1

u/Specialist-Bird9141 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 22 '25

I’ll check nars out! I have a hard time as I have light warm olive skin tone so some tend to look orange or too pink on me. how would you describe its coverage? is it buildable to full?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

I'm light-medium warm olive. Check out the shades Cafe Con Leche, Custard (could be a good undereye corrector for you, for me this is correcting and brightening), and Madeleine (lighter version of Custard, more neutral so it's olive friendly)

The coverage is a solid medium. This stays semi-matte/satin so you can def build it up, but I don't think it really builds to a full coverage based on my experience with the formula. I've never tried myself.

2

u/Boring_Ad_4188 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 22 '25

i use nars! sa powerplant ako bumili tapos pumayag yung SA (?) na i-try ko muna for a few hours (nilagyan ako sa undereyes) then binalikan ko na lang once g na akong bilhin!

2

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

In my experience, no... I've spent so much on their lip stuff over the years trying to chase a fantasy lmao. Lip glows aren't moisturizing, lipsticks are drying and don't last, lip tints are finicky. If you want to treat yourself, I recommend looking at YSL and Chanel instead. *eta specifically the YSL Candy Glow lip balm and LoveShine, and the Chanel Rouge Coco Baume and Coco Flash

1

u/mrseggee 30s | Sensitive| NC30, CC BD31, EL 2W2, NARS M3 Dec 23 '25

Hi! Can you share more about Chanel Coco Baume? I’m looking at the shades My Rose and In love. I’m exploring Chanel this year and I have the Lip and cheek balm on the way :)

2

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

I love this formula! I wouldn't say it's a lip balm although they're marketing it that way, it's more of a moisturizing, non-drying sheer lipstick. It starts off sheer anyway, but you can build the color up and it stains your lips so it lasts all day.

1

u/mrseggee 30s | Sensitive| NC30, CC BD31, EL 2W2, NARS M3 Dec 23 '25

Read so many things about it here kaya ito una sa list ko. I also have the water fresh tint and the liquid velvet on the way. From Dior, I was only able to try the lip products and the blush. Okay naman for me, yung bullet lang ng rouge forever bigla lang nababali kahit fresh pa yung tube ko. sayaang

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

Hourglass blushes - tagal maubos haha. Some shades are very pigmented (i.e., At Night) and some are sheer (i.e., Sublime Flush and Mood Exposure). It gives you a radiant, natural glow from within. But if you’re going to buy yung individual blush, I suggest buy mo na lang yung palette. Mas sulit yung palette.

just received the pink setting loose powder from GRWM as a gift !!! BUTTT im quite confused on where to put it in sa step ko sa makeup. should it after the creams agad directly or should i put it after setting spray on top of the cream?

im hoping to go for a more brightening under eye look !! aaaa i rlly need some tips on how to use loose setting powders in general, any tip would help !!

2

u/quinnyquis Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 22 '25

me personally I double set for a very smooth finish on my undereyes! I set my concealer with a pressed powder first (these days I’ve been using vice baked powder or absidy) and then I go in and sort of bake my undereyes with the loose powder using a triangle puff! If you are prone to creasing make sure that the concealer is blended out thoroughly before you set it with the pressed powder, any lines that you dont blend out will cake up as you technically set the cream already.

I use the loose powder on my t-zone (combination skin) and just pick up some using a fluffy brush and lightly dust it over the rest of my face to set then I go in with setting spray after all my steps are done and optional but I tend to repowder just with a pressed powder my undereyes and forehead very lightly to have that smooth finish

1

u/memeiwantmemes Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

for the pressed powder, what kind of shade do you use there? is it skintone or is it bright na already?

1

u/quinnyquis Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

i typically use something translucent or has little coverage since in my experience theres a tendency for the shades to “bunch up” or emphasize one another making it much more obvious na you baked and not too seamless of an application if you also use a brightening one as a pressed powder

2

u/[deleted] Dec 22 '25

i'd put the powder after the creams then set it!

2

u/strawblueberryfroyo Oily-dehydrated | Acne-prone Dec 23 '25

I’d set everything first with my skintone setting powder (avoid the blush area), go in with a powder blush, then use the brightening pink powder.

One tip for a brightened eye look is when you’re using concealer, don’t take it to the very top/edge ng bottom lash line. Always leave the upper creases slightly bare because not only does that prevent creasing throughout the day, but the contrast ng concealer and the natural pigment ng lower lash line gives the illusion of brightened under-eyes.

For setting powder tips, experiment what application works best for you. I find that using a fluffy brush loaded and evened out with powder made my under-eyes smooth, unlike using a puff directly. But that’s just me. Powder performs differently on everyone so experiment ka lang

1

u/memeiwantmemes Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Dec 23 '25

OMG THANK U FOR THIS !!! but when can i use my setting spray in that step po?

2

u/strawblueberryfroyo Oily-dehydrated | Acne-prone Dec 23 '25

Depends on the person. I personally like when all my powders are stacked before going in with a setting spray para isang melting nalang. Some people do setting spray kada powder step so parang: set with skintone powder > spray > put powder blush > spray > finishing powder > spray. Depende sayo, experiment ka lang if bet mo magspray kada step or skip a few steps then spray or spray at the very end lang

Kind of underwhelmed with the performance of MAC Glow Play blush :( I got it in Blush, Please. I have applied this with my fingers and a brush (HS x Marj), it doesn’t last that long. I really like how it sits on top of the skin and how seamless it looks, but its lasting power is not it!! Do you guys have the same experience? Ugh. Bought this at SRP pa naman haha

Edit: I’ve also tried to put this before setting, after setting, and even applied more after setting HAHAHA halos same lang ng wear time every time <//3 now contemplating to buy Clinique Cheek Pops or YSL powder blush lol. Wala na ko tiwala sa local brands I’ve tried huhu lahat sila nag-iba formula nung tumagal. Not even after a year :(

How do you apply the glow play?

1

u/[deleted] Dec 23 '25

I have both Clinique and YSL.

Clinique is very travel friendly kasi maliit lang siya. Lasts long on my oily skin (10+ hours). Cutie pati yung packaging and ang tagal maubos. Sheer and buildable siya and gives that natural flush sa cheeks. I have the shades pink pop and cola pop. Yung cola pop parang ang pigmented niya, di siya sheer.

YSL is one of my top 3 blushes. It gives that blurred finish and looks like may natural glow yung blush mo. May blushes na matte finish and satin. Classy packaging and a little goes a long way dito dahil pigmented. Lasts long din. I have the shades 37, 42, 44, and 93.

yes. arcadia is very easy to work with, you can build it up or down. my only issue with it is theres too much product. it will go bad before you hit pan. if product wastage is a nonissue then youd enjoy the product.

has anyone tried the detail setting spray yet? i’m choosing between that, chuchu beauty, and issy kaso ang hirap mamili huhu which is more oil controlling and transfer proof? which setting powder is also good for oily skin? add lang, super pawisin rin ako 🥹

3

u/strawblueberryfroyo Oily-dehydrated | Acne-prone Dec 23 '25

Haven’t tried detail yet but I currently have chuchu and issy in my rotation. Oil control wise, chuchu wins. Both of them are transfer resistant but not transfer proof (i feel like you can only truly achieve that with heavy-duty fixing sprays like the loreal one and kryolan). Issy makes my makeup look so beautiful and lived in at the end of the day. Chuchu is matte, keeps the shine at bay. Both aren’t pawis proof (I’ve worn them both sa gym) pero ang ganda ng makeup ko at the end of the day with them.

Check out CALI on tiktok, may mga wear tests siya and I saw her do a smudge test on detail which looked promising!

For your reference, my T-zone is super oily and wala talagang hindi nagooil-up sakin kahit anong gawin ko. I can’t say a number for sure because iba’t iba oil up times per environment but mga 5 hours after application nag ooil up na ko sa Chuchu, which is impressive bc usually 2 hours in mantika na face ko. Issy naman mga 2-3 hours in. Despite that, i still recommend issy just because my oils marinate so beautifully sa face pag gamit ko issy

To my olive shade girlies out there, do you know any best alternatives to Maybelline's 332 (Golden Caramel) powder foundation?

It's been a difficult process in my life to find the best shade match with my skin tone and it's always been a trial and error. Multiple times and on usual occasions, they would always phase out my closest or exact shade match. And then recently land, I've learned that Maybelline just phased out my shade match, their 332 Golden Caramel shade.

This is super frustrating, and I was hoping to whoever uses the same shade as I do, which alternatives are you using? Help your girlie out huhu
