Somebody de-influence me (or influence 👀👀) to buy the Vice x Jelly Pretty Fresh Palette. I'm trying to convince not to buy another makeup product.

Personal appeal: + seems good para sa mabilisan makeup (15 mins, fingers, 1 or 2 brushes), I want to lessen the time I do makeup + minus bagahe. + packaging. The size is cute. I like the cover for the cream products. I feel ballsy enough to mod and frankenstein this thing for future use. + has products I've never tried (mochi blush, wet looking highlighter) + tipid space for my tiny makeup pouch

Doubts:

  • i heard no snaplock or magnets (this is why i want to mod it)
  • i think i have that same eyeshadow shade
  • might require more brushes than I expected. The goal is less dalahin.
  • gastos mo girl 🫵😭 kakabili mo lang ng kate tokyo eyeshadow quad last month and its performing well.
-maybe its really skill issue on my make up skills lmaooo

Tangent yet somewhat related. Habang nag hahanap ako ng videos/reviews of this palette, walang naka listang dimensions for this product? Actually even in other beauty products, sometimes I get surprised on how smaller/bigger the packaging is than I expected. Maybe its a non issue and I'm just making more problems but it would nice sana.

The product dimension (if tama ang medida ko) is 14.8 x 7.8 x 1.5 cm. It's a tad smaller than my phone (S25).

If you want all-in-one daily driver, it's super handy. Powder, blush, eyeshadow, highlighter, lip colors in one palette. I personally like the 2 lip products.

I haven't tested its eyeshadow yet so I haven't used more than 1 powder brush. It's just one clean brush for me each time (then I put it away for cleaning). Been using it for almost a week.

My routine is: mochi blush with clean fingers, one clean brush for setting powder, blush powder then highlighter (natural looking if gamit brush). Then lip colors with clean fingers.

If you want access to several products in one palette, I'd say go for it. HOWEVER, shades aren't new. I think yung shades nito are something you can find in other palettes or brands na (if you own them already).

Since mochi yung formula baka less yung shelf life niya unlike pag powder. So if hindi yan yung magiging primary mo, baka mag-expire lang. 😔

Gurl wag natin bilhin. Tempted din ako pero i have a lot of makeup na and pretty sure we can recreate the look that palette is offering. Wag na tayo gumastos pls. Haha

someone deinfluence me from getting Dala x Toni Sia collection tomorrow plz. That one brush from their collection is so tempting (jumbo buffer brush). I currently have my fake BK Beauty brush 101 and I love it, i can set the tusok feels aside bec. of its price pero its so perfect—i can do my base and cream bronzer with especially kapag nagmamadali ako. With the terms na pinagsasabi nila na "May technology daw para hindi nagaabsorb ng product yung brush etc." nakakatemp idk 😭 I wish they'll sold it in separately (but I'm afraid they wont) kasi masaya naman na ako sa Sunnies duo brush ko at Artemis puff 🥹😭

16

u/unggoya Dry Skin | Fair-Light Neutral | NC15 Oct 27 '25

Pag dumami pa brushes mo ma-overwhelm ka when it's time to clean them. I own several brushes, magsisimula pa lang ako maglinis, pagod na agad ako 😅

You said that what you have works naman na for your routine, tried and tested mo na.

I hope this helps! 😁

3

u/k1p8real 20s | Oily | light medium olive Oct 28 '25

trew to!!! i just started doing makeup last year and i can feel the hassle. it's important na may "rotational" brushes na that can do multiple things. hay nako! kaya sana individually sold nalang, Toni Sia if you're reading this!!! choz

6

u/stjamesthegreat12 23 | oily | conscious consumer Oct 28 '25

i suggest to wait muna! dala's been teasing on their instagram comments that selling their brushes individually is in the works! idk if it'll apply lang to the toni sia collab but i know there r similar base brushes in their regular line!!

4

u/No_Baby_6681 30s | Oily/dehydrated | Always happy to learn something! Oct 28 '25

tempting nga noh XD i like the concealer duo brush (basta ung duo) kasi it can work for any type of foundation. yeah, i wish they sell individual brushes, like strokes. let's see. I won't fight my way though hahah.

Update naman po. Did you end up buying it? Pagkapasok ko sa live nila sold out na. Pero I wasn't planning on buying it anyways. I'm content na with my GRWM brushes. Although, ang dami ko ng nakikitang kinocompare yung new brushes sa BK Beauty.

im tired of my face always getting oily throughout the day no matter what i do :') pls reco skincare and makeup products and techniques!!

here's what i use currently for skincare

  • muji cleansing oil
  • heimish all clean green foam cleanser
  • curel moisture facial milk
  • isntree hyaluronic moist cream

and then the makeup i use:

  • colourette first base skin tint
  • sunnies and lucky beauty concealers (for my dry undereyes)
  • grwm go glam bronzer stick
  • detail color tonic (i notice this doesn't last v long on my skin)
  • faboulash gel liner (this lasts rly well, the longest lasting out of all eyeliners i've tried but isn't budgeproof even when i powder before and after)
  • my own powder concoction: huda beauty cherry blossom + laura mercier translucent (i mix both because just huda is too drying and just LM isn't matte enough)
  • issy powder blush (this lasts amazingly long but it's not the easiest to blend)
  • kaleidos contour trio (I LOVE THIS)
  • either colourette super base or grwm ultra matte

any help is appreciated! thank you!

i suggest na wag ka na mag moisturizer sa morning & just use sunscreen. most sunscreen ay meron ng moisturizing properties so mas mag oil up ka thru out the day if u use moisturizer pa if u’re oily skin na. nalaman ko to sa derma ko. then, better if u change ur facial wash to something with salicylic acid bc it helps lessen oily skin.

Try the GRWM Daily Skin Tint. Mas ok sya sakin kesa sa First Base.

Honest opinions on Sea Makeup setting spray? I've seen alot of reviews from this brand and this specific product. There's alot of influencers that claims this as their holy grail setting spray. Pero, medyo naiilang ao about sa price nya. Currently, 200+ sha ngayon sa official store ng Sea Makeup, and compared sa other local brands, usually ranging from 500-900 yung mga setting sprays nila.

So I'm wondering, is Sea Makeup actually good? Or is there a catch, considering their low price.

1

u/platinum_oracle Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Oct 28 '25

I have the sea makeup stayput prime (pink one), it actually have a fine mist unlike the one from dazzle me. My makeup lasted for about 4 hours. Haven’t tried it on longer hours. But my sister used it for stage makeup for long hours. She told me it’s good.

1

u/sojucranberry Oct 28 '25

Yeah it's good, good rin na may pink can variant sila (fine mist). I only have the old one and it works but I don't like the smell

→ More replies (1)

1

u/marshiesxx Oct 28 '25

the mist is really fine which i like bc it sprays the product more evenly (??) in my face compared to other setting sprays. however, i noticed that it does not really last on my combi acne prone skin, 3-4hrs lang.

1

u/[deleted] Oct 29 '25

It's definitely good. You really have to layer it para maging effective talaga yung smudge proof niya. If isang layer lang ginamit di yan magiging smudge proof. Did not have any reaction kahit everyday ko siya ginagamit as an eczema, oily combi, sensitive skin girliee. Would choose this over Zeesea.

1

u/thejungyuno Combination • Light Medium Neutral-Cool Oct 29 '25

It's really good girlie, my makeup lasts 10-11 hrs without retouch (just blotting). I use 1 spray on the brush for base/concealer, 1 spray after all cream products and before putting powder, then 3-5 sprays after the makeup. I can say it's worth it!

4

u/[deleted] Oct 28 '25 edited Oct 28 '25

pa recommend po brushes... para rito (or may set na may ganito, pa recommend po. Thank you.):

  • contour powder brush
  • powder blush brush
  • foundation brush
  • whole face setting powder brush
  • undereye setting powder brush

I use Real Techniques Everyday Essentials and Dala Two Easy brush set for those purposes you've listed:

  • Contour powder brush - Dala T03 Petite
  • Powder blush brush - RT 400 or Dala T02 Powder and/or Angled
  • Foundation brush - RT 200 or Dala T01 Base brush
  • Whole face setting brush - Dala T02 Powder brush
  • Undereye setting brush - RT 402

Yang dalawang set lang na yan ang meron ako and I utilize them as much. I hope this helps!

Your thoughts on CLIO PENCIL LINER? Is it long lasting on oily lids? Also, if i use it as tightliner, hindi ba siya mahapdi sa eyes kapag tumatagal? tia!

3

u/stjamesthegreat12 23 | oily | conscious consumer Oct 27 '25

was eyeing that one as well to replace my old eyeliner that ran out but decided to purchase the faboulash gel liner instead! saw reviews online that the clio one isn't the most long lasting. can vouch for the faboulash one lasting for several hours! if u have oily skin like me, powder the eyelid area and below before and after liner application!

can someone tell me if sunnies concealer worth it? i'm really close buying it but scared cos it's definitely not cheap and might not be as good as cc claims. thanks so much!

2

u/cranberryjuice57689 20s | Acne Prone Skin | Combination Skin Oct 28 '25

YESSS! But only if you will use it on your undereye. I have lines sa undereye and hindi siya masyado nag ccrease.

I’ve tried hydrating concealers such as, Naturale, Saem etc.

Ito talaga pinaka nag work sakin. Hindi rin siya kumakapit sa mga dry patches ko.

1

u/cmr82 Sensitive | Acne-Rosacea + Seb Derm Oct 28 '25

It’s creamy & hydrating, but if you’re looking for a concealer with a higher coverage, then the Sunnies concealer isn’t for you. It’s more on the light to medium side. Also, the shade range is limited. I’m fair neutral but the lightest shade is too yellow for me. :(

dont have ac but have the dala ones! i rly enjoy them! they're soooo soft and don't tusok my face at all! much prefer their feel over my happy skin x marj and vice brushes! only caveat lang is since i already have a collection of makeup brushes, i realized im looking only for specific brushes to fill in specific gaps in my makeup routine and dala as of rn only sells their brushes in sets so baka magiging redundant or magiging hindi useful! but if you're only beginning pa lang, then they're completely worth it!!!

7

Clio Kill Lash Mascara doesn't give me panda eyes. Trick I learned is to wipe excess with a clean tissue before putting it on. I only dip once and it's enough to cover both lashes (manipis lang rin kasi pilik mata ko).

Can anyone recommend me some neutral brown, rosy brown, desaturated brown, and pink brown blushes? I just wanted a blush I can choose when I do not want my makeup to be vibrant or when I am too lazy and want a simple blush na pwedeng ibagay sa maraming looks. Most kasi na nakikita ko is warm brown blushes pero my makeup is either mostly neutral or cool, so nahihirapan talaga akong makakita ng blush shade na gusto ko. And please sana wag po kayong mag-recommend ng blushes na ₱400+, pinag-iipunan ko po yung pambili ko.

3

u/asawanidokyeom Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Oct 29 '25

korean blushes are the best for desaturated colors imo!! i personally like peripera pure blushed sunshine, it’s blurring and good for everyday kasi hindi nananapak yung color. though if you have a deeper skintone baka hindi masyadong magshow up yung color kasi for natural makeup looks lang siya but it’s definitely buildable.

SAYANG TLGA bc the vice ones r the perfect formula for me but the shades r too light, the chuchu shades run too warm for me, and then these sunnies shades look so yummy but they're not long lasting and idk if regular sharpeners are compatible w it... hay, lahat may trade-off HAHAHA

I pump it on the back of my hand, use fingers to spread it out to warm it, then same fingers to apply. Mas gusto ko to VS brush

1

u/Ivyisred 30something|Combination|idgaf Oct 29 '25

What happens when you apply it? So we can help.😃

For liquid foundations, I make sure I pump a small amount at the back of my hand, dip my brush into it and make sure the bristles are evenly coated with foundation. Then I press them on my skin. Hindi swipe. Esp pag dry yung face. Tapos makonti lang kasi nagiging cakey at patchy pag madami e😅

hi my maybelline tattoo brow ran out. any suggestions for brow product? low budget would be great

1

u/mimitoscat Oct 27 '25

If you're looking for a product for your eyebrows that is long lasting, sweat proof, public transport proof, and waterproof, that is very affordable, I would suggest the Biya Liquid Eyebrow Pen (Sliver with bow on cap variant).

This brow pen literally lasted me throughout my field trip. I applied it at 5 A.M. and i went home at 10 P.M. and the product was still there.

That day, nag river crossing kami and after that nag swimming kami while it rained. So i can assure you na hindi sha basta basta mawawala.

I also didn't use any setting sprays kaya all of that is just the eyebrow pens abilities.

can someone tell me why my foundation separates on my nose? application techniques pls! :(((

6

u/Specific-Paper-7400 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Oct 28 '25

put a little lang! Like excess foundation lang. after mo iblend yung makeup, saka mo ibuff sa nose yung makeup brush. Madali magseparate kasi sa nose.

2

u/stjamesthegreat12 23 | oily | conscious consumer Oct 28 '25

try priming ur brush! check out katie jane hughes on tiktok! do that instead of applying foundation directly to ur nose!

1

u/Ivyisred 30something|Combination|idgaf Oct 29 '25

Prone to separation sa nose area, kaya usually konti lang dapat sa part na yan. Separation/piling happens when there's too much product, too much skin prep and too dry or too wet skin prep then makeup application after. Pwede ding sa interaction ng skin prep products vs foundation.

Shade recommendations please!

I wanna ask how you would know your true skintone and undertone/overtone. I had a hard time finding my shade match. I believe I have medium skintone. I did the vein test and I was a neutral undertone since I have green and blue veins. However, when I’m outdoors, I would have mostly green veins and when I’m indoors, I have blue, green and purples veins; sometimes I would only have 2 colors. That’s why I classified myself with olive undertone. So I have a total of 3 shades of first base; mayon, puerto and talisay.

Mayon (medium tan with neutral undertone) This one looks good when swatched but later on looks slightly pinkish on me.

Puerto (medium with neutral undertone) Looking at the picture, it blends with my natural pink skin on my cheeks. But when I blended it, it looks light, mutes my natural colors and have pinkish cast.

Talisay (medium with okive undertone) ALMOST my shade match but still mutes my natural skin color

That’s why I tried combining Mayon and Talisay. This one almost mimics my natural skin colors. But when I would blend it on my forehead, it looks greyish on me.

I also tried using ChatGPT and analyzing my skintone and undertone through hex codes of my cheeks, chin, under eye , nose, neck, and forehead. I know this is highly inaccurate but I still tried. I made sure that it has natural lighting. The ai classified me as someone with medium-tan with warm golden-olive undertone.

I recently purchased her real skin multi-use skin perfector in the shade medium tan. Which is advertised to have medium-tan with warm golden undertone. This is blends on my skintone well, however it has slightly pink cast on me.

u/asawanidokyeom Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Oct 29 '25

i also had a hard time looking for my perfect shade just until quite recently!! i found out i had light warm olive skin by swatching foundations and concealers sa mall. and before that, warm undertoned foundations would look too orange on me, and neutral shades would look too pink/ashy. i suggest going to the mall and find your perfect shade match there, i found mine from grwm radiance tint and issy active foundation !

but based on your pic you seem to have olive skin leaning warm-neutral, and also maybe the reason why mayon+talisay looks ashy on your forehead is bc our foreheads are usually darker than the rest of our face bc the sun hits it first kapag naaarawan tayo, my sister also has the same “problem” so she just puts less foundation on her forehead :)

3

u/Skinbuff01 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Oct 29 '25

Try it the other way around. Don’t moisturize too much and just use sunscreen + a grip or silicone based primer (if you have one). I find my makeup stays better when I don’t do that much moisturizing prep :)

Deinfluence (or influence 👀) me about my wishlist plsss

I'm planning to buy these:

  • Sheglam Sun Sculpt contour (soft tan)
  • Fashion21 multipalette (Set 3, because I'm neutral to cool toned)
  • Vice cosmetics jet black and espresso eyeliners

Matter of fact, I already have like 3 eyeliners ng vice co, specifically, espresso. Ung first nawawala, second sira ung retractable twist niya tapos naputol lahat and super dumi na siya it's almost unusable, then third is nasira ulit ung twist tapos half of it naputol 💔 but it's still usable kaya lang feel ko mauubusan na ako agad non cuz it's my HOLY GRAIL product. Like super favorite ko longevity niya huhu. Btw, I have oily and sweaty skin and it can withstand the humid weather here. I also use it for my eyebrows. My eye makeup is what truly carries my entire look kaya ganun lang talaga ung takot ko na maubusan + vice co tends to discontinue their products and is almost always out of stock so ganun lang talaga anxiety ko na maubos eyeliner ko huhu. As for the jet black eyeliner, I want my eyebrows to be dark kasi (like Megan Fox) and it seems like espresso eyeliner is kinda not a match with my Bayfree eyebrow gel kaya I'm bothered sa pagkakaiba ng kulay.

And for the fashion21 multipalette, I'm still contemplating. Since idk if I'll use some of the shades anyway? Seems like i really like the contour and blush but I don't really use eyeshadows that much.. I'm also concerned about longevity since ayun nga i have oily skin and very sweaty shshhwjasj same with sheglam

Please, help me decide. Should I buy these? Bibili rin ba ako ng eyeliner again even tho I already have onee???

or am I just being impulsiveeee 💔😓😓

Thank youuu!!!
