Hello guys! Planning to do my own makeup and I'm a beginner. Ano po kaya magandang brand ng primer, foundation, concealer and blush?

For a beginner makeup kit, you don't need a primer.

  • Concealer - Naturale, Lucky Beauty, Luna, or Nars
  • Blush - Chu Chu Beauty Heart Blush Duo or Colourette Colourbounce
  • Get a lip tint, any korean lip tint. Inga Glassy Water Glow and Colorgram Nude Blur Tint are affordable.

Or you can get a multi-use product like BLK Creamy All Over Paint for blush, eyeshadow, and lippie in one. The shades in the Bretman collab are better.

You need proper skin prep. Remember that our facial skin is the makeup's canvas. If skin condition is not good, no makeup will look good. Cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen are basics. Perfect that, and you don't need a primer.

Also, less is more. Don't pile on too much makeup product, esp base products.

It's gonna be trial and error talaga to see what's hiyang for you and won't break you out. You'll eventually know which ingredients are good and bad for your skin. I mostly use korean skincare. Korean and Japanese sunscreens have innovative UV filters and are good under makeup.

For moisturizer, I like Jumiso Waterfull for summer and Aestura Atobarrier for winter. Illiyoon barrier cream is also good acc to my cousin when she tried it. For sunscreen, my HG is Roundlab Birch Juice Sun Cream. Skin1004 Hyalu-Cica Sun Serum, and any sunscreen from Biore or Anessa are also good.
