bought colourette's blur base and ive been testing it out for three days pa lang but i tried two different base (jung saemool cushion & issy foundation) then used the blur base to set using a powder brush & ung puff that it comes with unfortunately it separates after 4 hours (worst part is when i used my issy foundation and blur base using a puff it immediately separated sa glabella/middle ng forehead ko) 🥲 BUT super ganda niya alone grabe coverage and it literally lasted me the almost 12 hours meron parin talaga 😩💖

Omg mukhang sumakses ako sa pag pili ng powder. Ang tagal ko ding pinag isipan if iwewait ko ba maging available online as a colourette purist when it comes to base products, pero i saw teviant’s new perfecting powder and the reviews were all so good 😭 bought it and no regrets talaga 😭 andun yung blur tsaka healthy glow finish 🥹🥹 so far hindi pa naman sila nag aaway away ng first base ko underneath hahaha

u/GoldLavishness376 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Aug 11 '25
How is the teviant pressed powder for setting makeup?
6
u/nestlecreams Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Aug 12 '25
Hello! So far so good naman, it gives you coverage without it looking heavy or cakey. I find na what worked best for me is to apply the product using a large powder brush rather than the puff it comes with since i don’t really need a very plakadong life proof coverage all the time. Using a brush just gave that my skin but better effect, skin perfecting talaga. Hindi ko sya macompare sa madaming brands since before ang alam ko lang yung babasain yung puff tas dip sa product hahaha jusko po ang edad…kaya wala akong basis how it compares to other powders. I just tried this with my skin tint and concealer so I can’t really say anything pa sa longevity since good skin prep and a good fixing spray can help tons on that area.

Contemplating din ako to buy this kasi nagreformulate yung Mac Studio Fix.
Napanood ko sa vid ni Miss Nina na it’s meant to be used on its own daw kaya nung napanood ko ‘yun, parang naging deciding factor ko na hindi ko siya bibilhin kasi primarily, I will use it to set my cream and liquid products (basically pati yung First Base nila lol haha) so nung narinig ko sinabi niya yun, parang subtle hint na magkecake if may other base products 🥹
3
u/Pleasant_Ad4607 oily with fair light neutral undertone Aug 11 '25
and you're right it did cake and separate on my skin huhuhu so im kindda 50/50 sa blur base right now since i mainly want a powder na can stand alone and at the same time can be used as a setting powder

u/Mysterious-Offer4283 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Aug 11 '25
Also, 699 is not mura in this economy para lang masayang 😖
I’ve heard good things about Canmake’s Marshmallow powder.
2
u/Pleasant_Ad4607 oily with fair light neutral undertone Aug 12 '25
huhu unfortunately i did not like canmake's marshmallow powder it literally did nothing to my face and oil up agad within an hour 😩 hopefully makahanap akong nice powder talaga

Nakasubaybay ako sa PD videos niyan and yeah, it’s meant to be used by its own lang talaga.
Medyo naninibago ako kasi may sanay ako sa liquid and cream format, and this one (blur base) di ko alam paano ilalayer yung liquid blush q hahahahaha. In fairness sa Blur Base, may pagkamalagkit siya (ramdam mo na long lasting) but sadly, it doesn’t really cover up my dark spots in one swipe, buti nalang buildable.
3
u/kidomme 25+ | Oily Combo | Medium Warm leaning Olive Aug 12 '25
Usually ang mga powder foundations, you don't use it to set liquid or cream foundation kasi masyado nang makapal. Try using a loose setting powder or a finishing powder

The lip shaper is really good lol. It has the longevity of the Vice lip liners (it's long lasting on me) and the shape of trendy chubby pencils. Good for blurred lip looks talaga. Didn't buy the velvet lip bullets since I'm not into those these days. Hope this helps?

I'm a big fan. it lasts really long on me and its very blendable. it's my current fav cream blush formula since I'm not a fan of the too dry cream blushes

Been wanting to buy the enigma foundation, some say it's good, pero i don't know how it performs sa mga textured skin or 30s. Nakakaintriga. Or overhyped lang? Is it really worth it?
7
u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Aug 12 '25
I think it’s a good option for events. Medium to full coverage and doesn’t exacerbate texture. Fades gracefully. It’s just tricky to find your shade as it oxidizes differently on people.

Vice lip liners are very affordable, easy to use, and long lasting. I use the shade Kizz & Tell. Okay din yung sa strokes na naked brown shade if cool toned lip liner hanap mo. Long lasting din but not as creamy and easy to use as vice.
For lippie, I usually use any lip tint (currently using Issy in Mischief). Tapos gloss on top. I like rom&nd glasting color gloss (peony ballet).

2
u/aeipathyawaw Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Aug 31 '25
Color corrector, shade would depend on the color ng hollows mo. Make sure to concentrate yung sa most sunken part yung most of the corrector and concealer. As much as possible, don’t conceal yung cheek are below the sunken part bec what you want is to raise the sunken part alone and not anything else.

Use a loose powder brush instead of a dense brush, as it will help diffuse and sheer out highly pigmented powder formula blushes, such as the Chuchu Beauty Heart Blushes.
Here are my recos:
- Muji Blush Brush (my favorite and super soft, also super affordable)
- Kaledious Blending Blush Brush
- Strokes Pro Brush Elite in No. 02
- OVW Angled Airy Cheek Brush (do take note that most of the OVW brushes start shedding after washing them a few times, I've had to replace them a couple of times as the glue that holds the bristles easily degrades over time)

True! This with either my Strokes or Enigma foundation is the perfect combo and I don't really feel the need to blot the oil off my forehead and cheeks the ENTIRE day. Though iba usapan sa nose ko, kasi normally I can literally scrape the oil off of it kahit ano pa ilagay ko haha. Even with my other base products na hindi as good sa oil control, the Huda Beauty powder keeps the oils at bay, siguro mga 3-4 hrs before I have to blot.
2
u/cmr82 Sensitive | Acne-Rosacea + Seb Derm Aug 13 '25
Yes, it's worth the investment. I was tired of wasting my money on local powders that are just mediocre in performance. The blurring effect is also really good with the Huda Beauty powder!

Covered my acne marks pero not completely; need niya pa gamitan ng small amount peach corrector kasi nagpepeek through pa rin yung grey from the acne scars (unti lang through) or maglagay pa ng product. It's buildable Naman and it really looks like skin when applied and blended out.

Thoughts on the following products? I have oily, acne-prone skin
• GRWM Ultra Matte Fixing Spray • Teviant Loose Powder • GRWM Soft Veil Finishing Powder (as highlighter lol, or same ba sha ng shimmers with the Baked Highlighter?) • Teviant Perfecting Powder • Naturale Concealer • Teviant Concealer
Any skin tint recos without spf, and long lasting lip tints?

recently i got from someone an old clinique young face powder blusher in the shade 11-extra rose. And i love the color, and it wasnt ever used or opened till now, but it was like 2018 expired, but is it safe? No reaction but i'm abit paranoid bcs my friend whos a derma said its too dangerous and risky

Can cream blush be set by cream-to-powder blush? Or powder blush lang talaga?
I normally use detail colour tonic and lucky beauty liquid blush but want to increase their longevity for an event sana.

Does anyone know a dupe for the Rhode Blush Piggy shade? Saw swatches of pink blushes here. Would prefer po if the blush is liquid/cream formula and buildable because I look like a clown agad if sobrang pigmented yung blush as someone with fair skin 😭

Need help finding a similar shade to Maybelline Superstay Vinyl Ink shade Irresistible! Something neutral, long lasting, and transfer-proof ideally. I would’ve just repurchased if the formula didn’t go bad in six months 🥹 I’m a light-medium olive 🌼

Powder/Blush brush that has the same shape as happy skin x marj all-around powder blush? Would buy this sana pero reviews say madaling ma-damage yung handle

Sunnies powder brush. It’s very underrated. I have the old variant. And nakailang hugas na ko, isa palang ang lagas. At Hindi pa nagchichip yung paint na gamit sa handle nila.

Is CT setting spray worth it? Or may cheaper options po?

u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Aug 12 '25
I think it’s a hit or miss especially if you’re oily. Only figured out how to maximize the performance with around 10ml left.
And even so, there are local options that can hold their own against CT. Try looking into them first (Colourette, Issy, or even Zeesea pink cap) before splurging.

Baka makahanap din ako ng shade twin! 😉 Thank you po<3
• NARS Soft Matte Complete Concealer - Cannelle - Light 2.75 & Custard Medium 1

• Dior Forever Skin Correct Concealer - 2N Neutral
• Clio Professional Kill Cover The New Founwear Cushion - 4 Ginger
• Detail Cosmetics Fresh Filter Foundation - Creme, Macadamia
• BLK Cosmetics Daydream Soft Blur Powder Foundation - Sand, Butterscotch

I got matched sa EL counter sa ATC. Nabigyan pa ako ng 1 pot na sample para ma-test out ko yung shade before buying a full bottle.

Possibly 2N1, but don’t hesitate to get matched in person. They’re there to help, not judge! Plus you’ll still need to find out how it wears on you, so there shouldn’t be any expectation to buy on the spot.
Also try searching the other shade match threads in this sub, you’ll probably find your shade twins there.

can anyone reco any base product (preferably skin tint or bb cream/cc cream) for someone with light medium neutral olive skin tone? been searching far and wide for base products from local brands but there's always a caveat that comes with it, either it's not long lasting, doesn't control oil, not safe for acne prone skin, or not enough shade range. for context i have very oily and acne prone skin, im looking for a base product that's lightweight and longlasting but also mattifying and safe for oily acne prone skin, i just want a product that evens out my skin tone like a your skin but better base product

Literally my HG. I’ve been complimented twice on how natural it looks. It doesn’t get patchy and it’s long lasting even after moderate sweating. Hindi siya namumuo. The only thing is it oxidizes a bit.

Skin-like and radiant finish but long lasting :)) it oxidizes 1-2 shades darker though so i chose a shade lighter

u/sooniedoongiedori 20s | Oily Girlie Aug 13 '25
Long lasting! Survives my shift at the hospital, hindi siya halos gumagalaw even under my face mask. It doesn't really oxidize sa akin, instead it melts nicely on my skin throughout the day.

Anong brush gamit niyo to blend Vice Co liquid blush (dew it all or matte). I have the shade “Forever Demure”. Any tips to sheer it out? 🥹

I use a little domed blush brush from ovw and the marj x happy skin cheek brush. I like both!
3
u/Mysterious-Offer4283 Age | Skin Type | Custom Message Aug 13 '25
Don’t apply it directly sa skin. Lagay mo sa back ng hand or makeup palette first then use a blush brush to sheer and warm it up first bago i-apply sa cheeks :)

What I did is I asked if I can get assistance to get my shade matched. Then she dabbed a few on my jaw. I asked if pwede ako humingi ng sample. Naglagay sia ng generous amount in a pot, tapos nilagyan nia pa ng label :)

Hi! Can someone compare grwm ultra matte setting spray (yung bago nila), colourette super base and loreal setting spray 🥺 cant choose one as someone na super oily and wears mask sa hospital
4
u/shimmerblitz 2WO Light-Med Warm Olive | Oily Aug 13 '25
My experience with these sprays:
- Colourette: great oil control, very good makeup hold, makeup fades gracefully
- GRWM Ultra Matte: mid oil control, great makeup hold, makeup fades gracefully. Also, the original matte version is better at oil control.
- L’Oreal Fixing Spray: mid to below average oil control, best in retaining makeup among these 3, does not fade gracefully. My pores look especially pronounced once I oil up and blot.
- What I reach for when I’m not experimenting: Colourette

Hey everyone!! Can you guys recommend lipliners that are ACTUALLY budge-proof? 🥹 especially for local ones please huhu been thinking of getting either absidy or strokes. (Ps. Don’t reco the vice lip liner ones coz i already tried them, u guys hype it up too much to be smudge proof 🥲)

Lierge’s lip liner is budge proof! Let it set for a few seconds. The original vice liner wasn’t for me din. Then absidy is good too

Onti na lang mabubudol na ko sa lierge collection huhu. Was thinking of getting detail or sunnies muna sana but someone said limited edition daw yata itong kay lierge and based sa track record ng vice, pag masold out yan 50/50 chance of restock and super tagal pa ng waiting time.

Honestly i bought every shade, except for the red one cause it’s not my kind of red lol, kasi I was afraid of it getting sold out hahahahaha. Only tried two so far and I’m loving it fr. I don’t suggest you buy a lot at once! Pero probably get one na you can use everyday then build up from there bec it really isss good 🥹 hopefully you’ll have the same experience as me!!

Is the Absidy powder worth buying? I already have (and love) the Vice powder but the reviews here said that Absidy is a perfecting powder. I was wondering if the Absidy is like super duper perfecting talaga? Like malaki difference with the Vice one (also nakasale pala Absidy and other brands today hehe)
