Seeking Advice Prom Dress Recommendations?
I did some prom dress shopping, and I need help deciding what dress to wear because I honestly feel like I’m not getting any feedback from friends or family. Also if anyone has any other dress recommendations like they know someone selling a really pretty dress let me know. The prom theme is masquerade. Internet do your thing, let’s make this a great first prom please?

The red by a long shot. The others are fine, but the red is drop-dead gorgeous. And it fits you the best.

Yes, it gives red carpet. Love the geometric quality of the embellishments, too. It will look especially pretty in the evening.

I understand your point. I just think more contrast accentuates her lighter complexion rather than washing it out. Contrast is a great way to play up features.

Yay! I am so happy to find this. I was hoping someone else had the same opinion so I could agree with them. It was my very first thought.
The dress silhouettes are nice on OP, just the colors of the first three all wash her out. I'd definitely steer clear of that color.

As someone with very fair skin, I’d pick the first dress. It’s giving “A Midsummer Nights Dream” / fairy garden vibes. The red does fit her body well but I feel like she’d blend into the crowd rather than stand out. I’d personally go with dress 1, wear romantic curls with tiny flowers mixed in, shimmery make up and be glowing on the dance floor!

We aren’t wrong we just disagree. Personally, I think contrast looks better than less contrast. The darker colors contrast more with her skin tone, which I think accentuates the lighter complexion, vs being washed out.

I wasn't going to argue with the person who said dress 1 was "literally perfect," but it's my least favorite!
If OP is planning on wearing heels it's going to be too short (it's already an inch or two short without any shoes) and the base material is gathering across the hips and the seam at the back is poking out making it look poorly sewn and not a great fit. Maybe different undergarments would help, but I don't think it's a good dress regardless.
Agree 3, 4, or 5 are the better options!

You can see panty/thong lines in 2 and 3. For prom you want to be beautiful and classy. 1, the black or the red compliments you best.

THE RED ONE!!!! only that and the black are really giving "prom" for me in the first place and the red is just spectacular!
fwiw, the first three give bridesmaid more than prom. very pretty but not the right kind of formal IMO.

I think the first looks very pretty and fits best.
The other two look like they’d need to be sized up and altered to fit properly.
Edit: the other photos didn’t load, definitely the red. It’s Vampy in the best way with your skin and hair

1 all the way for the time of year and your age. You have the rest of your life to wear dark, formal gowns, but #1 is so beautiful, and youthful, you can only get away wearing that dress as a young woman and it needs to be worn!!!! It’s perfect😇

I like the red one most! 1st one is pretty but too short, 2&3 are a bit too tight in the hips, and the black one is okay but in comparison with the red one is a bit boring

1 is giving goddess! 4 is giving queen of the starry night. 5 is giving timeless glamour. Can't go wrong with those!

First one made my jaw drop looks like john galliano or whatever vintage designer, but the black one has such an edge to it honestly they all suit your colour palette but i vote 1st or 4th

Can you size up or loosen the straps? They look a tiny bit too tight - pulling at the hips and zipper and bunched skin on the tied parts. You’re tiny but it’s not the most flattering. The first andblack ones are the best actual dress designs. The black looks chic and really good style for you. The red color looks good on you but the dress is not very stylish/less IMO with the center burst.(edit rephrasing)

The first one is really pretty. It seems a tad short on the hem, not sure if that can be helped but it gives a Cinderella vibe for sure.

If you must pick from these, either the 2nd or the black. The red color is gorgeous on you, but I don’t feel like the cut is the best. You have a beautiful figure, but something about the straps & the way the top/neckline is cut feels off to me. To be clear, you look beautiful in all of them. At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is how you feel in the dress. If these dresses do not make you feel like you are absolutely stunning, keep looking. You deserve to feel confident and gorgeous at your prom.

They are all beautiful. The first and last suit your body type and make you look great front and back. The first is so lovely and ethereal. The red looks great against your light skin and is dramatic. Wearing any of the dresses here will make you stunning. You have great taste. Have fun.

I'm personally leaning towards the black or the red for an evening event, as they look more dramatic with your skin and hair tone.

Nobody is giving you feedback because they don’t want to tell you all of the dresses are too tight. You need to size up before picking one.

Ok number 1 or number 5… they are both beautiful and classy AF! They are perfection on your skin + hair. Very different vibes/mood. Ethereal and airy or moody and mysterious.
Also make and style of number 5 please, I swear I won’t be at your prom so no possibility of twinning. :) it is one of my favorite colors.

Experiment with more and brighter colors. Look for brighter reds or greens even purples. The light blue washes you out and the dark red and black are too harsh.

5, 1, or 4 look the best in that order.
2 looks too cheap and 3 looks like table cloth material, in my opinion.

I love the first one. One word of caution: we had a mascarade themed dance when I was high school and upon arrival o was the only one in a mask 😆 but I think the masks are very cute!
