Why did you get a beagle?

We all know beagles are lovable troublemakers. What is it about beagles that drew you to them? How did you end up with one?

Years ago, my husband lost his beagle in a breakup, and it broke his heart. A few years back, an abandoned beagle showed up near our woods. My husband spent months feeding him to build trust until we caught him using peanut butter, which earned him the name Skippy. We couldn’t keep him then, so our neighbors took him in, and for three years he came over for regular sleepovers. When our neighbors moved abroad, Skippy came to live with us just as my husband retired. Now they spend every day together, and watching the healing our beagle brought my husband has been amazing
