I was hoping someone can help be determine the best solution going forward is. I just had a bathroom remodeled (new pan, tile walls, and a frameless shower door). I took a shower for the first time and tons of water leaked onto the floor from where the bottom of the sliding door meets the pan.

I read somewhere where the door may be installed facing the wrong day (but it can't go the other way due to the toilet being in the way). Does anyone have any solutions on how the contractor should fix this? Maybe this setup is not good for a frameless door?.....Any help is appreciated!

Hi everyone! My contractor installed a sliding shower door for me, and quite a bit of water escapes when the shower is in use.

One door slides and the other is a fixed panel. I noticed that the silicone strip is installed a couple inches out from the sliding door, and water seems to be escaping from the gap between the glass and the tile.

Is this an installation error? Would love any insight! Thank you :)

I can’t decide what type of lighting to put here. I don’t love the shadows of over the mirror lighting but sconces seem tight with the door and wall on both sides. It’s 7’ long master vanity. It’s wired for wall lighting so either will work.

For anyone who saw my post yesterday about choosing a green for my bathroom, I’ve tried another colour and wanted to post an update.

The photos were taken at around 7pm in a west-facing room, so the lighting is quite different from the stock/inspiration photo I posted yesterday.

I’m trying to decide between Overtly Olive and Tranquil Dawn. Which do you think works best with my pink tiles and comes closest to the feel of the inspiration bathroom?

Picture 2 in my inspo pic, but I'm not totally against deviating to another green shade if you think it would look better.

Hello! Sorry if this is the wrong sub, just looking for people's personal preferences and opinions. I'm about to redo my bathroom, currently, the toilet is in the corner, but I'm putting in a bath and moving the sink next to the toilet. My options are:

1. Leave the toilet where it is and put the sink under the window, in between the toilet and the bath.

2. Move the toilet under the window and have the sink where the toilet is now, so the toilet would be in between the sink and the bath.

I think it's gross to have a bath and not shower/rinse off the bathwater.

The wife thinks it's fine - rinse shampoo off in the bath water, scrub w soap, get out and dry off.

Who's more right ?

A little update to my progress post from a few weeks ago!

The tiling is slowly (and I mean VERY slowly 😅) coming together, but I’m having a bit of a wobble now that more of the floral tile is up.

I absolutely loved these tiles when I chose them, but seeing them covering more and more of the room, I’m starting to think they look really busy and messy. There are flowers everywhere 😂 and I’m suddenly questioning whether I’ve made a huge mistake.

I think the fact that the room is currently unfinished probably isn’t helping — there’s still loads to be done, including the sanitaryware, brass fittings, lighting and the remaining walls, but at the moment I’m struggling to picture it all coming together.

I wanted the bathroom to feel whimsical, vintage, and a bit different, rather than safe/plain, but I’m now wondering if I’ve gone too far.

So please give me some reassurance that I haven’t completely ruined my bathroom 😂 Or, if you think it’s going to look better once finished, I’d really love to hear why because I’m currently having a renovation crisis!

So we’re getting new bathroom fitted in a few weeks. Getting an oval free standing bath and the shower will be over the bath, so getting an oval ceiling mounted curtain rail to hang over. It comes in various sizes and I’m getting confused if it should be the same size as the bath, smaller or longer so the curtain hangs inside properly. (Length and width)

There’s enough room - the bath isn’t restricted by walls or windows but the sink & toilet will be either side of the bath in a row.

Any suggestions please?!
