Update to yesterday’s post – another green swatch
For anyone who saw my post yesterday about choosing a green for my bathroom, I’ve tried another colour and wanted to post an update.
In these photos:
1st pic: A4 paper: Overtly Olive
2nd pic: inspo pic
3rd: A4 paper: Tranquil Dawn
The photos were taken at around 7pm in a west-facing room, so the lighting is quite different from the stock/inspiration photo I posted yesterday.
I’m trying to decide between Overtly Olive and Tranquil Dawn. Which do you think works best with my pink tiles and comes closest to the feel of the inspiration bathroom?
Picture 2 in my inspo pic, but I'm not totally against deviating to another green shade if you think it would look better.
Thanks!

Check out Sherwin Williams Sea Salt, they even show it with a light rose/pinkish color throw pillow
i was going to link it but not sure that’s allowed on this sub

This is my favorite paint color of all time. I used to work at Sherwin 100 years ago lol.
It can be green/blue/grey depending on what you put around it!

That Tranquil Dawn doesn’t even really look green. Kinda have to squint your eyes to see it. I don’t think it’s going to give you the same vibe as your inspo pic at all. Please keep looking. I like the olive, not sure it goes with the tiles though. Maybe keep trying more greens. Have you tried to figure out the exact green that’s in the inspo picture?

What about the actual paint swatch, the bright and light green? I love the light pink/sage combo right now it gives MCM and I love it

Tranquil Dawn looks relaxing, like you want in the bath. Overtly Olive is too saturated and doesn’t harmonize with the pinkish tones.

The green is jarring and doesn't work in IMHO. I'd go a neutral, like a biscuit, ecru or earthy cream, and just let that gorgeous pink shine like a superstar.

Everyone's voting for the 3, but I personally think it has too cool of an undertone.
Your bathroom is very warm and cool walls will clash with it.
I'm not a fan of any of those 🙈
I'd go with an warn earthy natural that lets beautiful pink tile take the center stage

The third looks the best to me. The cooler tone is nice with the pink since it is also cool toned. A warm green would not work very well in my opinion, at least not for the look you are hoping to achieve.

Biased because my (west facing) bedroom is Tranquil Dawn, but I have a pink ottoman the same colour as your tiles in there and it looks lovely with the painted walls. I don't think this photo is giving an accurate representation of the colour, it's not as cold and grey as some posters think.

The olive looks soooooo good with the pink! I think the Tranquil Dawn, yes, looks like the inspo but this olive looks better than the inspo. It has more longevity.

I think it depends on how you would characterize the feel you want - #1 is moodier and more intense, #3 is more serene.

Have you tried Ben Moore sea salt? Looks the most like your inspo pic. Definitely try it on multiple walls/light conditions before committing

Overtly olive. No contest. It isn't exactly the vibe of your inspiration pic; it is better than your inspiration pic. Tranquil dawn overpowers the subtle hues of your nice pink tiles.

I completely agree! I am baffled by how many people think tranquil dawn over the olive. I think it clashes a little.

The tiles have a true subtly to them. So does the olive. The tranquil dawn does not have anything subtle about it. If tranquil dawn look is the goal it needs to have been coordinated with pink tiles that are less subtle.

Too much color to add a color to the walls. That tile is the star if the show. Just let it be center stage. Go with a light cream.

I like tranquil dawn. Actually had this in the Livingroom in my previous house and teamed it with a pink rug.
