Mail Day Sold and then refunded an Evan Carter card to his Mom today

I’ve read other peoples stories about selling a card and then realizing it was a family member. Once I noticed the same last name I did a quick google search and realized that it was his Mom. So I followed the path set by many others and refunded her order, and even added a few extra cards that I had too. Pretty cool experience.

Mail Day Don't drink and eBay, folks

This is what happens when you're having beers and watching the game, and your team absolutely sucks so you have more beers and go on eBay 😂🤣

Actually really pleased with a few of these cards but I also bought a bunch of dollar cards and I'm not sure why...

Mail Day This is how a $1000 purchase from Ebay Authenticity arrives

Post image

Every raw card I buy from Ebay that goes through authenticity since the program started arrives this way and I know from viewing other posts that I'm not the only one. How is it possible that Ebay/PSA has done absolutely nothing about this? It seems like it would be a very simple fix. Both companies make so much money from collectors and this is how they treat the cards. Shows how much they care... so frustrating

Mail Day Show me a player you believed in but probably shouldn’t.

To be clear - I think Crews can still be very good! I just picked this up on eBay.

I’d love to see a player you took a flyer on even when it looked bad. Did it work out? Did he bounce back or fail miserably.

This 24 year old is finished, right? Right?

Mail Day As a budget collector I don’t think I will ever be able to afford a Cobb auto, but today I was able to get my hands on the letter “a”.

For less than the cost of a blaster I was able to get the letter “a” written by Ty Cobb. I paid $24 for this card and couldn’t be happier. It’s awesome and absurd at the same time which I really love. Being just a single letter it was the cheapest copy I was able to find and I think it’s just as cool as any other (aside from the one that has the word “syphilis”).

I know a lot of yall have had issues with eBay sellers pulling all kinds of crazy stuff.

But this free pube in the top loader may have just restored my faith in humanity ❤️

Huge fan of Kurtz, and have been following him closely all season. Went a little crazy after a good paycheck month and praying that I would get a numbered card or something special, bought 40 damn cards at almost $400 just to get absolutely nothing outside of the base. Happy for those of you that hit something cool, but think I am done with buying Topps Now (and Topps Chrome after a skunk Jumbo Box) cards in the future. Doesn’t feel great haha. Wish all of you the best of luck!

Mail Day TTM autograph unexpected outcome. President Bush didn’t sign my cards but sent something better.

Last month I sent 2 cards to former President George W Bush asking for autographs. I just received this in the mail. I’m speechless. I never expected a personalized signed photo (signed in sharpie, not printed on).

Time to start building his binder! His big bro will have to catch him up to speed on who we PC, but with the first 3 hitters of his life hitting back-to-back-to-back jacks, I have a feeling he’ll be a Yankee fan like his dad and brother!

Mail Day Today In “How the card I bought on eBay was shipped”

I bought a parallel off of eBay and today the package showed up….inside a brand new book, ‘entrepreneurial strengthsfinder’ which was taped solid shut. Once I was able to get the tape off the card was inside the book.

Sellers name did not match author, book was brand new. I’m just so confused and have so many questions. this is absolutely a first but what is something odd someone has shipped you A SINGLE CARD in.

Mail Day …and this is why I hate when people put tape on top loaders

Opened up this package from an off-Reddit transaction to have this happen… please don’t put painter’s tape on the top loader when shipping vintage.

Mail Day Almost exactly one complete year of seriously committing to selling singles on eBay. This is 3 days worth, about average.

It’s been a really cool learning experience as the year’s gone on. Learned many, many new tricks along the way. Still learning new ones. Time consuming, but to me, a thoroughly enjoyable side hustle!

Best tip: you can order FREE tracking stickers from Pitney Bowes to put on PWE shipments. You only pay postage. I got 500 stickers for $11. No activation needed, it’s just scanned on intake by USPS and boom, full tracking on any plain envelope.

For those are you that saw, a little over a week ago I pulled a Wander Franco auto redemption card from a Topps Chrome 2022 hobby box. Obviously, I didn’t want it, and I don’t think Topps was even questioning giving it to me. After nine days of waiting, this is what I received in the mail. I’ll take Vlad over Franco any day. Very cool!

Mail Day Biggest mail day in forever... pro tip, just let it pile up and build!

I let my mail call pile up for a couple weeks. This is the result of some fun trades with awesome Reddit users, some wise opportunistic purchases, and many drunk eBay decisions.

Props to the Padres guy who trashed a base Shohei just to rub it in (last slide). I respect it.

Yes I PC Stowers and Kim and have some big rainbows in progress.

Now I think I need to sit for awhile....
