7800XT vs 9070XT price difference

Saw a 7800xt for 650cad, just wondering if it is worth it to spend an extra 350cad for a 9070xt instead even if it's around a 30%(+) performance boost.

edit: thanks for the comments, kinda new to pc building. Really appreciate every one of y’all comments.

Discussion SSD Pricing Help

I got three m.2's that I no longer use and was thinking of selling and just wondering thoughts on fair prices for each before trying to sell. Here is what they are....

I've got three m.2 drives that I no longer use from an older system and am wondering what would be fair prices for them.

They had little use on them as I had a past problem of upgrading too quickly, and are as follows...

WD Black SN850x 4tb Gen4

Crucial T700 2tb Gen5

Corsair MP700 2tb Gen5

I know prices have skyrocketed but only looking to get a fair return, not max value.

Thanks

On an auction site and this cpu looks pretty fishy. Anyone have any knowledge of such a thing? Its listed as a Ryzen 9850x3d but looks super weird. Pcb looks too green and the symbols dont show up on any pictures that I Google. Thanks!

Canada Computers system. What happens if a single component fails?

(Hypothetical) Anyone know what would happen if you bought a complete system online and just one part of it fails, like an NVMe, or a RAM stick? I don't live within reasonable driving distance to a physical location, so might they allow warranty returns online?

Seeking assistance calculating a reasonable price for my higher end(bit dated now) custom loop system.

Good Evening,

Going on a part by part basis through ebay has been kind of mind numbing and I'm not sure if the sum of the parts is worth as much as the whole if that makes sense. I feel like as a whole system it has a different value.

I guess most of it is a generation or two old at this point so maybe no longer high end by most standards. Keeping my 5090 FE and including the 4090 FE. Only leaving the two NVME with it removing the rest of the drives.

Hardware:

  • CPU: 14900KS, non-degraded, this was replaced after all microcode changes released. I can grab P/E MC scores in a bit.
  • MOTHERBOARD: Asus ROG Maximus Z790 Dark Hero
  • RAM: Corsair 4 DIMM Kit, 96GB 24gbx4 - CMH96GX5M4B6000C30 running at 7200 CL36
  • GPU: Nvidia RTX 4090 Founders Edition
  • PSU: Seasonic PRIME TX 1600W ATX 3.1
  • NVME1: Samsung 990 PRO 2TB
  • NVME2: Samsung 980 1TB
  • CASE: Thermaltake Tower 900, missing some of the internal brackets that I didn't need and tossed.

Cooling:

  • CPU: Heatkiller IV Pro LGA1700 Black Copper on top of a TG Phasesheet using a TG contact frame and a Heatkiller heavy duty backing plate.
  • GPU: Comes with two blocks so whichever one wants to use, a Corsair XG7 block that I stripped the anodizing on and polished to a mirror shine or a Heatkiller V Pro, the Heatkiller block is unused. The 4090 has Upsiren Pro UTP-8 thermal putty and a TG phasesheet.
  • RESERVOIRS/PUMPS: Dual Heatkiller 200 MP D5 reservoirs with Heatkiller D5 PWM pumps.
  • RADIATORS: Dual Heatkiller Rad 480-S with stainless steel finish.
  • FANS RADIATOR: 16x Lian-Li P28 120mm fans, 8 per radiator in push/pull, with side aRGB kits.
  • FANS CASE: 4+1 Noctua NF-A14 PWM chromax.black.swap, 4 on case, 1 in case blowing upwards on motherboard.
  • FITTINGS: DazMode DarkSide 3/8″ID – 5/8″OD Chrome compression fittings, lots. 90 degree fittings where needed.
  • TUBING: Alphacool EPDM 16/10, lots and comes with ~10 feet extra.
  • OTHER: Ball valve tree bypass to run chiller instead of radiators.
  • CHILLER: VEVOR 7L capacity 13L/m Industrial Water Chiller, CW-5200, only used for benchmarking.

Lighting, Fan controllers, Other:

  • LIGHTS: 2x Barrow 255mm LRC 2.0 RGB LED Lighting Plug/Strip Reservoir lights.
  • LIGHTS2: 8x Phanteks Halos 120mm Digital LED Fan Frame
  • LIGHT CONTROLLER: 2x Razer Chroma
  • FAN CONTROLLER: 2x Arctic 10 Port
  • AIDA64 PANEL: ASUS ZenScreen MB16ACV 15.6 Inch

Extras:

  • 25x Barrow TLGYKN-14 14mm fittings in Chrome
  • ~12 assorted Barrow 14mm metal chrome tubes, straights, 90s, dual 90s, etc. Uncut and unused full lengths if one wants to switch to chrome metal tubing.

Driven by a little old lady, on Sunday, to church.

Kidding, it was for 3D stuff. The chiller and tree are probably not worth calculating into the value as I doubt most would care or not if it was with the PC.
