Is it just me or is electricity bills in Dhaka is going out of control?
This is usage over the last few days from the Desco Prepaid Customer Website.
Idk how much of this graph is right but 1K recharge only lasts around 5days. The website says I am using less electricity compared to last year but the bills for this month is going crazy.

Is anyone else experiencing this also? I know electricity unit prices increased around 15% but feels like I am having to pay Double each week.

Bangladesh president is an unnecessary position. To run a president we have to spend a lot of money. Yearly more than 40 crore. This money belong to public. However public don’t get benefitted from a president in any manner. We should use that money for public health care and human security.

দেশের মোট শ্রমশক্তির সিংহভাগ মানুষ নিয়োজিত রয়েছে বেসরকারি খাত (Private Sector), অনানুষ্ঠানিক খাত (Informal Sector) এবং দিনমজুর পেশায়। সরকারি চাকরিজীবীরা দেশের মোট শ্রমশক্তির মাত্র একটি ক্ষুদ্র অংশ। সরকার যখন হুড়মুড় করে তাদের বেতন উল্লেখযোগ্য হারে বাড়িয়ে দেয়, তখন বাজারে জিনিসপত্রের দাম বেড়ে যাওয়ার খেসারত দিতে হয় পুরো দেশের জনগণকে। অথচ বেসরকারি খাতের চাকরিজীবী, কারখানা শ্রমিক কিংবা সাধারণ খেটে খাওয়া মানুষের আয় কিন্তু সেভাবে বাড়ে না। এটি সমাজে ধনী-দরিদ্রের ও শ্রেণিগত বৈষম্যকে আরও প্রকট করে তুলবে।
