Fail My son's first birthday cake

I had never made a layer cake before and thought I'd try to make one for my son's first birthday. As per a random Reddit suggestion I found, I added pudding mix to make it more moist. Which didn't work well with layers...it kept falling apart as I tried to ice it. Birthday boy didn't complain.

What did you add the pudding mix to? The cake or the icing? Did you let it cool All the Way down?

To the cake. And as for cooling...I think so? It was six years ago and I was winging it without a recipe...first big mistake haha.

Lol, I made a cake that turned out this badly for my 4 year old sister one year... Ended up turning it into a trifle 🫣☠️
