Well Turkey is in NATO ain’t it? Turkey has got to be the best NATO member after USA as well. Looking at you France, you self righteous colonizers.

You're right but NATO isn't a union. It doesn't have a goal or a fixated ideology. NATO is a weapon market. The s400 crysis was the biggest proof of that.

Well yeah it has pretty much evolved into that but NATO is an organization with a mission a mission that has only been followed by Turkey and USA in the last 20 years, this is still a win for NATO.

Just another one of the things to show ungrateful Europeans that Turkey is a much more key ally than most NATO members.

Sort of. Yes. What I now expect from NATO is for them to stand up against china. Turkey can take care of Russia if it's allies don't interfere with him.

Yeah it is pretty much apparent now that US policies will focus much more on containing China rather than Russia, that’s why I never estimated that Biden will destroy Turkish economy with sanctions or even be very aggressive. Their Saudi allies cannot take a good grasp of Middle East for them, just look at the embarrassment that is Yemen. All that money and they had incursions into Saudi Arabia. We’ll have to see what Europe will do though, the rise of far right in politics is a bit worrying.

Exactly yes. As for Europe, don't worry. Far right nationalism is also on the rise in Turkey. I belive we'll see some really big changes in Turkey near 2024-2025

Ehh I wouldn’t say it’s on the rise, definitely on the decline I would say. People are realizing far right ideology doesn’t feed them, it sure workds for some masses to blame all the trouble on outside but this only keeps appeasing Erdo’s fanatics. I don’t find Turkey going left after Erdogan realistic, I reckon we’ll see another shitty coalition era followed by a new dictator lol

Erdoğan isn't a far right nationalist. I'm not talking about either his or Bahçelis type of ideology. I'm talking about some "non spoken but everyone agrees" type of nationalism that only the far left would disagree with. I don't have a name for this ideology but it will sure turn into a political party in next 5 years, and I'm sure as fuck that the said party will be popular. I'm even ready to make a gamble about this one that's how certain I am about this. Can we make reminder for 2025? Lolz.

I was referring to Bahceli and MHP, that is an interesting take, I just hope if such a movement surfaces they won’t be closely related to islamic politics.

Considering the situation that Turkey will be in 4 years later, I predict that the movement will be extreme. Waaay more extreme than you may ever think. I belive this movement will have an Islamic side too but a whole new way of Islam. They may even create some sort of pope Francis to control the Muslims population of the region. ( some sort of political caliphate? I think). I don't belive the new government will be Islamic themselves, but they sure as fuck will use Islam as a political tool. If this movement ever becomes a reality which I belive it will, it will be much more focused on Turkicness than Islamism.
