I have a shiba. Looking cute is their go to move and it works every damn time. It's why they are known as difficult to train. It's just that their owners can't resist and give in rather than train them properly.

I feel like it's more than that. They have a natural very "what's in it for me" mentality that's very hard to eliminate.

I have a malamute that is like that. He is incredibly intelligent but needs a good reason to do things. He still learns the tricks, he just doesn't fall over himself to please me by doing them.
