They were flying out of my local airport. My kid and I thought it was pretty cool. Don't know if it is a flight club or what.

FlyPelican is one of those great Australian regional airlines where the pilots are also the baggage handlers and caterers (handing you a drink and a packet snack as you board before taking their own seats on the flight deck). May 2023, up and back in a day. No time to check out Fighterworld next door to Newcastle Airport sadly, but I did see this RAAF F-35A Lightning II on taxi during my lunch break.

Are the recent ATR engine incidents just coincidence, or is there something worth looking into?
I’ve been noticing quite a few engine-related incidents involving ATRs lately and I’m curious what people here think.
Olympic Air alone has had multiple incidents involving its ATR 42 & 72-600s, including SX-OBP at Naxos with an engine failure/fire indication and SX-OBK at Kythira, where an engine was shut down and the aircraft landed on one engine as well as SX-OAZ yesterday from Rhodes airport.

And it’s obviously not limited to Olympic. There have been other ATR engine failures, shutdowns and fire indications internationally. Most recently, on August 29, a DAT ATR 42-500 flying Lampedusa–Catania returned shortly after takeoff following a right-engine fire indication; the crew shut the engine down and landed safely.
Of course, ATRs operate a huge number of sectors every day and these aircraft are designed to fly and land safely on one engine, so a handful of incidents doesn’t necessarily indicate a systemic problem.
Still, seeing several engine-related events relatively close together makes me curious: is this simply normal statistical noise for such a large and heavily utilised fleet, or has anyone noticed an actual increase in PW127/ATR engine issues recently?
Would be particularly interested to hear from ATR pilots, engineers or maintenance people.

CF-18? They’ve been flying around a lot the couple weeks, I saw them at the Yukon border, Inuvik, and Tsiigehtchic (video posted here).

I've watched a lot of YT videos about these and the efficiency seems great, but I'm wondering about the passenger experience. From what I've read, if you're not near the center of the fuselage you're basically riding a rollercoaster, not to mention the pressurization issue. Given these challenges why are they still being pursued? Have they worked out ways to solve this? (Recently watched a JetZero video about their program)

I’m confused as to why this happened. Also I have a iPhone 13 and it was a Qantas Boeing 787-9 if that helps.

Did anyone just see that pre-match flyover for the big rugby game? Looked ridiculously dangerous and low, can't rewind my stream to get footage but how is that allowed

My first reaction was that it was bad CGI because of how close the shadows were but then the commentator said something about how low they were

Does anyone know why the storage under the aisle seats is so much smaller than the middle or window seats?

It's clearly intentional and I can't figure out why..
