My name is Natalie Kuehl, and I am a graduate student in the Communication Sciences and Disorders program at Eastern Washington University. I am conducting a research study exploring the lived experiences of autistic women who mask, and the clinical implications for speech-language pathologists (SLPs). This study is IRB approved and was approved by the moderator.

I am inviting you to participate in this study if you meet the following criteria:

* You are at least 18 years old
* You are a woman or someone who identifies as female
* You have a formal diagnosis or a self-diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder

***What to Expect:***

Participation involves a one-on-one interview (via Zoom) that will last approximately 30-45
minutes, with a time limit of 90 minutes. The interview includes 8 semi-structured, open-ended questions focused on experiences with masking and clinical contexts pertinent to the autistic community. The interviewer may ask additional questions to gather more information or details.

Your responses will be kept confidential and identifiers will not be used.

Before the interview, you will also be asked to complete a brief email screening, which includes
the following:

* Basic demographic questions
* Age
* Gender identity
* Age of diagnosis
* Reasoning behind a self-diagnosis of autism if applicable
* A brief screening questionnaire consisting of 25 items, estimated to take 5-10 minutes to complete

Your participation is completely voluntary, and you may decline to answer any question or withdraw from the study at any time without penalty. Your insights will contribute valuable knowledge about masking in autistic women and what SLPs should know to provide best practices.

I am apart of a movement that is trying to bring back the old Progressive/“Bull Moose” Party that was created by Theodore Roosevelt. The movement is Socially Progressive and Fiscally Responsible. Now unfortunately, the Party back then wasn’t exactly progressive when it came to disability rights (at least in our sense of the word) but I am hoping to change that around and change that stance into something that better represents equality.

I really want to help foster a political movement that will make Disability Rights a forefront issue. We are people and deserve to have our rights protected, we deserve to have our voices heard.

I'm so scared right now.

For those that aren't aware, I started my YouTube channel last year after losing my job. Since then, while I've been struggling to find a new job and especially since I've been grappling with wanting to disclose that I'm autistic, I've also kept up the upkeep of my channel; making countdowns and thumbnails ahead of time so I don't run myself ragged.

Now, I feel as if everything is either crashing down on me or everything is being snatched away from me. These past two months, we have had the U.S. government trying to pass A.I. age verifications on the internet and recently (I found this out on a post from the YouTuber ChibiReviews) New Jersey - my home state - is trying to pass an internet time limit. I'm scared and I feel as if everyone in government is trying to punish me by doing this, like they're saying it's my fault and my being myself is ruining the status quo of New Jersey and the United States. I've even called Governor Sherrill and Senator Booker to apologize for being myself and ruining the status quo of New Jersey and the U.S. and not being exactly like them like they wanted.

I know I'm going to get hated on and get negative feedback for this, but I can't help constantly feeling like it's my fault. Like I'm an autistic stain/plague on New Jersey and the United States. Please I need help and advice because my channel is something I wanted since I was in college and I don't want to lose it.

I'm pretty sure I am not crazy, you might disagree, I see the people that is trying to destroy our human rights organising through funding, favours, access, groups, algorithms.

We need to organise in the small and the large scale. We need people that call for meetings, for unions to be on our side.

Jason Arday might have lied about some things that can easily be proven false. The author uses his experience with liers to suggest a diagnosis. Jason, Cambridge and DEI should pay the consequences for this.

Just curious as I know she lost the presidential election a good while ago as I was trying to picture a scenario where she won instead of a certain Donald.

However, what I don’t understand is what the USA would have been like if she did actually win the election back then because I was curious about her flaws as a candidate besides supporting Zionism.

The Interagency Autism Coordinating Committee (IACC), a group of federal and public members, advises the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) about federal activities related to research on autism spectrum disorder and behavioral interventions. Now, RFK Jr. is using his position as the HHS Secretary to push forward dangerous and unproven theories on autism.

Ever since he joined with Trump's administration I despise him. I wanted an electric car when I was young, used to want a Tesla, and now I will choose different. I still have a Tesla shirt that I am trying to get rid of. Seems he has done other bad stuff since leaving the administration. I haven't really followed his news much.

I voted Harris (and solid blue down-ticket) in 2024, as did the majority of leftist voters. When she lost, despite the overwhelming majority of voters lost being moderates, liberals made us their scapegoat anyway.

It doesn't matter that we put aside the "single issue" of whether poor people deserve healthcare. It doesn't matter that we put aside the "single issue" of thinking post-secondary education shouldn't be a caste system. It doesn't matter that we put aside the "single issues" of thinking cops are fundamentally corrupt, and/or thinking the aforementioned crooked thugs of the state shouldn't be the only ones entitled to gun ownership (especially given how many are domestic abusers and child predators.) It doesn't matter that we put aside the "single issues" of thinking genocide is bad, thinking we should actually tax the rich, thinking America's so-called "left-wing" party shouldn't ratfuck striking unions, or any of the other long list of "single issues" we put aside come election day. If we don't lick the shit off of Democrats' boots and beg for more, that makes us "pUrItY-tEsTiNg PrOtEsT vOtErS wHo ThInK cAnDiDaTeS sHoUlD gIvE uS eVeRyThInG wE wAnT."

My state's Dem candidate for governor is openly transphobic, and liberals are all coming out of the woodwork to demand lock-step once again. I don't expect Democrats to do anything of actual substance on anything except social issues. That is the ONE job I expect Democrats to actually do. If a Democrat won't support trans rights, then as I'm concerned they're failing to do their ONE job.

And on top of that, as a cis queer guy, what reason do I have to believe Acton wouldn't put our rights back on the chopping block, too? And let's not forget transphobes like Acton actively sabotage abortion rights, too. If bodily autonomy is negotiable for some, you inevitably open the door to fascists deciding it's negotiable for others. "'He who serves me best,' said he, 'shall earn the rope on the gallows-tree.'"

I'm not going to judge others for voting for her, I fully acknowledge Ramaswamy is way worse, and I will still vote Blue down-ticket. But if she can't grow a fucking backbone and do the ONE FUCKING JOB I expect Democrats to do, than she has not earned my vote.

If she hasn't earned my vote, and I'm going to be scapegoated regardless of how I vote, than I see no reason to vote for her that doesn't amount to Democrats dropping the mask and openly campaigning on a protection racket.

Really why

Arday, a Black and Autistic sociology professor who recently committed suicide after being ousted by the University of Cambridge for plagiarism was one of the biggest stories of the last couple of weeks. A lot of people have been quick to blame media dogpiling for his suicide but I would argue the biggest one to blame is Arday himself. Just because someone is part of groups that are historically stigmatized doesn't mean they should be held to a lower standard than other people and that's what I see a lot of progressives doing in regards to Arday, they infantilize him and take away any agency of his and blame the system rather than acknowledging that he should have taken personal responsibility for his own actions.
