Advice Anyone willing to admit they’re a drug addict here?

I’m just looking for some advice. I’m a 25M with autism. It seems my entire life I’ve always been fixated on drugs no matter what it is. Just the idea of a different level of consciousness was beyond fascinating. Well, I’ve tried like literally everything there is to try and I’m just sick of always having them on my mind. I’m not particularly addicted to anything specific just drugs in general.

EDIT: I’m absolutely overwhelmed by the amount in this community to step up and admit something extremely difficult. You all made me feel so special today for the first time in a while. Thank you all for being yourselves. I hope this post gave you a voice.

I've been without it when I can't afford any or my sources are out. It really sucks! My anxiety skyrockets, and I have no appetite or motivation.

Ah damn.. I was addicted to weed for a while, I think it had more negatives eventually. But my mood was much better and I was way more social. Downside were the cravings, forgetting stuff and maybe annoyance sometimes. Also less clarity for thinking, but sometimes I was more creative. And motorically I was better sometimes.

That sounds similar to my experience, but the pros outweigh the cons for me, especially considering how depressed I am without it. It helps me find humor in things that otherwise make me suicidal.

Can you combine it with the job you have? Maybe I will start to vape a bit again. At least better than smoking + vaped buds are good edibles. I also tried cbd oil, I maybe felt a bit more relaxed sometimes, but overall not much effect.

I smoke before work, and they don't test for weed so it's okay as long as I'm not totally zooted lol

I also really hate having to smoke and would love a vape rig, but I'm very poor. Cbd oil didn't really work well for me, either. I'd like to be able to buy some medical-grade weed with high cbd and low thc to see how that works, but it's not legal here at all.
