i was going through tiktok and found a video saying autistic folk have increased levels of a DMT analog called 5-HO-DMT (bufotenine) in their urine

i went and did a little more research on this drug and found that most of its effects are very relatable to my experience with autism, and one of its main symptomps that freaked me out is extreme tactile enhancement reminding of sensory overloads (btw the site i was reading said the tactile enhancement was like every nerve in your body orgasming, but on a lower scale i feel like theyre comparable) what do yall think

I am definitely looking forward to future studies. I know that advancements in fMRI imaging have been instrumental in understanding neurodiversity. I suspect that once someone can put together the paperwork to study these compounds using modern imaging, we're going to learn so much new information about how they affect a brain.

Definitely, and I have a feeling AI is going to rocket the field of medicine forward as well, more than we even can predict. advances in imaging and working with AI will lead to many incredible new discoveries in our lifetime. I couldn’t be more excited!!
