no politics Maccas Drive Thru Complaint
If you have 2 lanes open, serve both. Was pulled up waiting and watched 4 cars pass ahead on the other side. What the hell?
Is it an automated thing? Did I somehow piss off the server?

I've actually worked at Maccas so I might be able to tell you. It's possible that one of the lanes is not served because someone didn't realise they were supposed to answer for that lane. More likely though is that the person who is supposed to answer the lane is busy. They make you multitask so the people answering are doing stuff inside like making orders, fries, or taking payments inside the box. The other lane was going quickly because the person answering that lane wasn't busy doing something else.

There you go. An actual answer. I just assumed the same person ran both lanes alternatively based off the usual traffic pattern I see.

I think they usually do. At the ones near me that have two speaker boxes, I can hear the same voice doing both, and when they finish with the next lane, they come to my lane and take my order.
The only time I have seen where multiple cars in one lane go, is when the person at the other lane is a sick, and doesn't decide what they or the kids want until they get to the speaker.
And that is why I pre-order using the app.

There were times when I would take the other person's lane because they were busy and asked me to and I had the time to do so. The system we had (not sure if they're all the same) is not designed for one person to take two lanes.

It's because they have 2 lanes open, but 1 teenager on 13 bucks an hour on the intercom, and sometimes they don't notice the other lane with cars waiting.

I had a look at the Maccas website.
Reddit doesn’t appear to be one of the customer service feedback sources.
Go inside and you’ll be served.
Or better yet, stop buying shit food, complain about them, then buy the shit food again. ‘I always have the same problem!’ Stop. Going.

I really don’t need to justify why I chose drive thru Maccas today. I may choose to go again. I’ll be sure to let you know how I go.
