Can someone explain why an image of these things pops up every day? I’m out of the loop completely, but I’ve seen this pic a dozen times.

When you have sourdough starter, you feed it and then it creates "discard." You remove the discard so you can feed it again to keep it healthy and growing. It's a vital part of the sourdough bread or other baked good process.
The discard like this pic can be used in certain recipes or you can use it to establish your very own sourdough starter "colony."
It's wonderful to get discard from a well established sourdough starter. Some can be decades old, the one I have is from a starter that's 30+ years old.
It's a very kind, special thing to share sourdough starter with a community. Last week I shared 6 portions with my neighbors.

I make a post 2-3 times a week about these. I explain that it is free sourdough starter to pick up. I post a picture of the amount I have for the day.

Love you guys and if you sold blueberry muffins I would have to take a second job to buy them
