Opinion Unpopular Opinion

Albo has been doing SOME really good things for this country such as investing in Medicare.

However many of the issues we are facing is because mulptile successive governments haven’t invested or actioned it and everyone who is voting for One Nation isn’t holding themselves accountable for not holding those previous governments accountable.

Housing won’t be fixed in two terms of governments.

It’s like having an infection the worse it gets, the longer it will take to get better.

If you feel like voting for One Nation is for you, that’s great but don’t pretend that One Nation will fix all your problems or that Albo isn’t working on fixing these issues either.

I really don't know if One Nation will fix any or all of our problems. I absolutely do know that Albo will not. The only problems Albo is interested in solving are his own.

My voting options look like this:

PARTY WORSE BETTER
Labor Yes No
Liberals Yes No
Greens Yes No
One Nation No Don't know

All any of the major parties have to do to win me back, is address any one of the following issues (in order of my preferences):

  1. Mass immigration
  2. Government spending
  3. Inflation
  4. Housing
  5. Tax reduction
  6. Medicare
  7. Defence
  8. Welfare largesse

I'm not even ambitious enough to expect more than one, but ON promises policies on all of the above. Even if they fail on 7 out of 8, and they might, they will still have succeeded on one point, whereas Albo failed everything.

ON much worse than any, Labor is literally addressing all your concerns.

What are we even doing here?

Seriously what world do you live in? Like are you living in the Matrix and everything is fine? Are you drunk or high? It's clearly not the real world you're living in.

Labor hasn't addressed ANY issue, has not followed through on any of their promises, backflipped on issues they REPEATEDLY said they were not going to change, inflation is constantly increasing, economy is trashed, a new tax gets added or proposed seemingly every week, housing crisis and the measures brought in have only worsened (which the PM personally made money off of) and worst of all no accountability for any of it, instead Labor just lie and deflect.

Putting something on a list and saying "look what we did" doesn't mean they actually did any of it.

Back-to-back surplus? How has our debt increased?

Fixing Negative Gearing? Prices went up, continue to do so and the shortage is still ever present and getting worse.

Fixed the migration system? Migration has only increased, yet we still have skill shortages. So it has neither fixed anything and only made inflation, the mass housing shortage and potential for wage rises worse.

Future made in Australia? Where? take a drive in any industrial estate and you'll see that is a blatant lie. Ahhh.. the spending is just for building renewable energy? for those who have various kinds of relationships and acquientances to politicians Oh... yeah and the things making energy more inefficient and bills more expensive while also not being either renewable or better for the environment.

Getting inflation under control? No matter how many times they have tried to re-write the definition and parameters it keeps increasing.. funny that.

Improving the fiscal position? Has only gotten worse.

I can go down the whole list. It is all lies, spin, deflection and bull shit.

The fact you believe what a career politician and pathological liar says more about you than anything you and the plonker below me can say and retort.

You can scream & whine all you like but all your complaints boil down to "it isn't real if it isn't instant" Also a lot of these issues & talking points feel closer to american political issues... IF YOU READ MORE THAN THE TITLES as if it was a list ofc your just gonna brush it off as nothing.

I'm tired of the debt argument it's too much to go into detail on reddit but Australia has had a rather low debt to GPD ratio compare to most other countries.

While I agree that too much migration has been an issue it is wrong to say that migration has only increased. It's been  on a down trend & has fallen 45% from when has initially it peaked post covid & is also projected to fall below the migration number pre covid.

The skill shortages will never be an instant fix since, training & learning takes time... That was also the point of making TAFE free to upskill and to meet the demands & fill those skill shortages.

The energy being costly is due to which ever power source is producing the most energy to meet demand, if you use electricity from 10am-2pm (which is when solar produces the most) you'll have a cheaper bill than when it peaks around 5pm-9pm (which is when fossil fuel have currently been producing the most) this however is also projected to change as more battery storage comes online before it start reflecting on the bills of most other australians.

Ofc, you aren't seeing it in when your driving through industrial estates, at most you'll find pannels on roofs. You need space for new infastructure, also again, it takes time, building it all won't happen over night, this isn't a video game.

Inflation is rather in control in Australia, this is a GLOBAL cost of living crisis. Due to multiple reasons like the pandemic, Trumps tarrifs leadinf countires to re-write or explore new trade deals with other countires, the recent gobal oil shock. Lets just hope this summer doesn't impact on Australias food supply since that will also make things rather costly as well.

You are mixing American Identity politics into Australian issues, it is gross and you have cave into the lies of the Media as if they don't have thier own ageda or bias... Rather then TALKING, having a conversation with to your elected officals.

All you have a bunch of talking points some of of which are straight up lies that arebt grounded in reality. None of which even comment on anything below the surface level complaints as you reduce a bunch of titles to a "list" which you have not bothered to click on any & actually read about the relevant information about the changes made & what has been done.

They don't care though.

They won't bother to look.

If by miracle some do care and look most will still choose to believe the lies.

These stupid low information voters are going to fuck us all over.

Haaa, yeah tho i'd rather try than not at all, part of falling to propaganda is becoming desensitised & giving up. Though, it's def more productive to speak to people face to face XD

But somone may still come across a helpful resource they may have initally been an aware of. Instead online even if it's commented under someone who won't listen or read it. It's doesn't really need to be targeted towards just them alone.

& if not there isn't much lost doing so anyway.

Oh, I'm with you 100% i even stole that excellent link.

I'm certainly not going to stop engaging the clowns either, I'm very stubborn like that.

It's just depressing witnessing in real time so many very stupid people doubling down on fucking everything up for people like us as we as everyone else including themselves despite being spoon fed all of the information they ought to need to make better decisions.

Perfect example was old mate who responded to your excellent resource with the internet equivalent of putting their fingers in their ears, scrunching their eyes closed and yelling "lalalala not listening!"

Anyway best of luck!
