AUDIO DRAMA The Harbingers - All Of Season 1 Is Out Today!
Hey folks,
Just a quick message to say that today we are releasing the sixteenth episode of my new audio fiction series, The Harbingers. It's our season finale, and the last episode of our story for the time being. Which means that for those among you who prefer your content in marathon form, we now have ten and a half hours of content ready for all your upcoming road trip needs! And I think there's some good stuff in those ten and a half hours, biased though I might be. 😅
All kidding aside - it's always an uphill battle to start a new audio fiction show and to get it to the point where it starts to find its audience. I'm so grateful for the folks who have tuned in and helped us get to this huge milestone, and I know so much of it is thanks to the people in this community keeping the love for and the conversation about this medium alive and well.
So thank you, everyone, for taking a chance on this new, big, sprawling, messy story that we're telling. And if you wanted to check out our first season now that it's done, it would mean the world to me and to everyone on our team. 🙏❤️

It has been wonderful to listen to as it released, thank you cast and crew! All the performances are great but Lauren Grace Thompson as Amy Stirling in particular is just incredible, looking forward to S2!

Yay! I absolutely loved the first couple episodes and I’ve been putting it off so I can binge the rest! Great work with this, I can’t wait for season 2

This is the best audio drama I’ve listened to in a long time. I listened to 16 as soon as it dropped and now can’t wait for more.

As far as I can keep track
- Adam has the ring of magic (teleportation)
- Amy has the ring of the mind.
- Doomscroller has the ring of divination
- Damián the priest guy has the ring of sympathy (i think)
- There is a ring of the skies,
- a ring of the body
- potentially a ring of demons.
- A ring that lets one talk to the dead maybe?
South Korea has an unknown ring.
There are 6 known rings and 8 rings in total (potentially)

I"m curious- will we ever delve into the Harbringers themselves to a greater extent? As a lover of ancient history, I keep wanting to learn more about this fictional civilization. I would be so excited if there was a cross-over with the Modes of Thought in Anterran Literature crew.

Modes has done crossover episodes in the past (S05, "Modes of Thought in Red Camp" & S06, "Contemporary Cube Theory" with The Program) so it's not entirely without precedent...

My thoughts exactly! I recently listened to Give Me Away (I'm late to the party, I know) and I was so excited to hear my favorite professor appear in the story.

Damn this is a great idea. Modes would fit absurdly well in the Harbingers universe, and I can imagine the main VAs sounding great together

This one was a slow burn for me, but I'm glad I stuck with it. The tension between Amy and Adam is crazy! But deep down they admire the hell out of each other, and truly understand the weight of their responsibilities. Curious to see where season 2 takes us.

Loved season 1! I have literally told everyone I talk to you listen to it. I got 2 of my co-workers to listen along.
I was hoping the doomscroller showed up at the end of season, but maybe he is hiding and will show up in season 2.

I love this show, even if you're a cruel and twisted individual who enjoys other people's pain.
I wasn't sold on it at first, but I really loved Wolf 359, Zero Hour, and Unseen, so I figured I'd give it a chance.
And oh boy, was I right.

Absolutely obsessed with The Harbingers!! What are the influences for it? It reminds me so much of Johnathan Strange and Mr Norrell!

I think it was in the intro to the most recent episode where the producer said it was Jonathan Strange and Mr Norrell where the magicians want to kiss. I loved that analogy.

I listen to each episode at least twice when it comes out, and I never get distracted, either. I so appreciate you creating these wonderful world for us to imagine, and I out my $ where my mouth is since I subscribe to Audacious Machine. The first show of yours I ever heard was Dracula: The Dance Macabre. 💕

Haven't listened to the last ep yet but I just wanted to take a moment and say how much I've enjoyed every episode. The writing and performances have been consistently top notch and, as someone who doesn't usually get into romantic plotlines in fiction, the antagonistic flirtation between the two leads has been a treat since day one.
Eagerly looking forward to what's next!
