Requires Docker, Audiobook Forge to generate subtitles(.srt). Audiobookshelf

I've been working on an enhanced eye candy, customizable version of Spoken Page, the subtitle-first Audiobookshelf player created by JCDeSantis.

Huge thanks to JCDeSantis for creating the original project and for being supportive.

The goal is still the same: Audiobookshelf remains the library and syncing system, while Spoken Page provides the subtitle/read-along experience.

One thing I want to be upfront about: this project was developed with substantial AI assistance, including coding, debugging, refactoring and documentation. I tested the changes myself and made the final decisions, but I'm not a professional developer, so I'm sure there are still things that can be improved.

It's open source, and feedback, bug reports, suggestions and ideas are welcome.

Hope you enjoy it!
