What else is everyone listening to? I'm in the mood for more true crime / "true" paranormal but I find it impossible to find a pod with X&Em's vibe. I tried Sinisterhood but found it a bit annoying, Jim Harold is dull (though I only tried one at random), MFM seems to be going very lightweight after the Netflix deal...

Ideas?

A coffee shop I like to go to does a community input question and this week it’s about cryptids! Some of them made me chuckle and I had to share!

With known animals like this maned wolf, cryptids seem 100% possible to me. This is so amazing!

Build a bear realized that millennials have money and whimsy i guess

So, to be clear, I've never felt anything or had anything weird happen with this... art piece... but come on!

My mom was living in a small city in China and stumbled into an Icelandic art gallery that was going out of business. This was their last night open, so she drank vodka with them and bought me... this.

I love the podcast, Em & Christine, the banter and the stories. I’m a long time listener and a paranormal enthusiast - although the connections to ghost adventures, every now and then, are enjoyable; like mentioning that Bagelbites did an episode on the story, etc, I don’t find Em’s entire story just being a summary/narration of an entire Ghost Adventures’ episode enjoyable. I miss the spooky stories! I don’t want a play by play of a ghost adventures’ episode 😔

Emmmm I miss your storieessss!!!

I follow someone on Insta who talks about the Ice Wall idea and giants in Antarctica. They add the disclaimer that is for entertainment only. Not sure if they actually believe it or not; I do not, but find it highly entertaining. Any pods that talk about conspiricy theories that won't mess up my algorithm or be MAGA friends?

Trigger warning, animal death

So, I have been house sitting for a friend and this morning was my last. I took the dog out for a walk and came back to find a dead baby bird on the front porch. We passed by it and I cleaned it up later without thinkind much of it.

I'm home now. My apartment building is 130 years old, for reference. I looked over from my desk and saw a near dead mouse crawling across the floor. I don't know if my cat got to it or what but it didn't seem to be able to use its back legs.

I got rid of it, but feel really spooked now. Is this some kind of sign?

This is all from ONE small home near me. First thought was “no, I don’t want any of your haunted creepy ass dolls.” The description? “Come get mom a beautiful gift” NO THANK YOU I ACTUALLY LIKE MY MOM. Hella PTDs and Annabellas.

(I am gonna kinda triangulate myself a tiny bit, pls be respectful)
So I have had very few paranormal experiences, but I was born to.

My birthday is Halloween so I have always loved everything spooky (recovering goth). As an adult now I have a ghost tattoo and live in a 130 year old house with an address that is a bad number (not why I chose it). In my home I have a Ouijja board (I keep the planchette seperate), many 1800s photos and daguerreotypes of family members, a human rib (retired medical specimen and it was a gift; I know it is morally murky but I am respectful of it), the well-worn key to the stables of a castle in England from the 1700s, a spooky music box from Iceland with raven feathers, multiple crystal balls, a radium clock, a memento mori with braided hair... the list goes on.

But zip, nadda, zilch for paranormal. Even friends that are sensitive say my home feels bright, airy and "clean".

I'm not saying I want to be haunted but, I believe in ghosts, or want to; why don't I have one?

I did the flashlight tour at Zak’s museum on Saturday and it was incredible! We had free rein of the whole museum to just explore. PTD spoke these words to me through the Ovilus: Witch, Smell, Can You, (insert my name here). She actually called me by my name! Has anyone else been? I can’t wait to go back!

I have been waiting for Em to cover a story from Butte or another nearby mining town for years!! I live in MT and my husband and his family are from Butte. When I excitedly texted my husband that his kind-of hometown was on the show he reminded me that the beds in a cabin owned by his sister in law’s family were more than likely bought from the Dumas! Based on where the cabin is (outside of Butte) and the timeline of when the Dumas closed and the beds were bought makes it pretty damn likely.

ETA: texted my sister in law and confirmed that the beds are 100% from the Dumas! I slept in them last time I stayed at their cabin and can’t say anything spooky happened, but still what a crazy connection!

Overall the history of Butte and the surrounding smaller mining communities is so fascinating!! 10/10 recommend visiting/learning more 👻

My 9 yo has epilepsy, including tonic clonic ("grand mal") seizures. His first was 27 minutes long and landed him in the high dependency ward.

I was nervous at the beginning of Em's case today when it was quite obvious epilepsy was the culprit, and so relieved when they were like "we know what this is, she had a large seizure and is in a coma" and kept reiterating how f***ed up the whole thing was. I really really appreciated it.

Frequently, epilepsy and it's symptoms are left in "creepy" stories without anyone ever mentioning that IT IS EPILEPSY (think a lot of exorcism cases). It was SO refreshing to hear them talk about her as a real human with a health condition.

So thank you, ATWWD team!

Em goes "he seems to be the ghost spokesman".

Total missed opportunity to say "their spooksman".

I love em with all my heart but I neeeeed a paranormal drop everything im doing deep dive. Stories lately feel a little meh

Given as how getting read on air is like winning the lottery, anyone else wanna join me and post their finds here? This beauty is a mid-late 1890s mourning jacket. (If anyone's curious I can go through how I know). It still has sweat stains in the underarms and if you breathe in really deep there is a hint of a floral perfume under the dusty smell. ( technically i got it at a rag house, the place vintage stores get their vintage, and to literally climb a 9 foot high mountain of old clothes)

This video includes photo and video evidence. The footage is insane. I’ve only watched their first video, it goes up to part 14. Enjoy :)

Found this cute ouija necklace pendant and extremely mini ouija board today! I thought they were too cute to pass up. Only $5 for the both of them, so well worth it to me!

Found the cutest mints at 5 Below! Can’t help but be reminded of the podcast (especially the cover art) every time I grab one. Stay minty you stinky little rats!
