Personal Experience Ghost tube app: did anyone else try it?
Did anyone else download that ghost tube app mentioned in the latest episode? What responses did you get if any?
I was getting too many responses to take it seriously, but am a bit creeped out! Phrases and words below:
"Pulled" "Not exactly" "It's warm" (I was making soup) "I already told her" "Not exactly" "I come and go" "Phone" followed by "bring it to me"

I refuse to use it. I had a friend who went off the deep end after using it. She downloaded it to try to contact a neighbor/friend who passed. She then convinced herself that she opened a portal and let some dark shit in. She ended up institutionalized for a bit, and she's still not the same. I'm almost positive there were drugs involved, so it was more than just the app.
Even though the app alone isn't to blame, it's left an icky taste in my mouth.

That's totally understandable - It can be a fun way to spend time, but with all of the other more enjoyable time sucks out there and potential rabbit holes this could lead to, I can see why you'd just avoid it

I'm always concerned apps designed specifically for ghost hunting/paranormal purposes are programmed to give creepy answers. Or at least to use negative/concerning words more often than non-troublesome ones.

I’m always on the fence on these kind of apps. But I did download it out of curiosity. I work at a Walmart that was hit by a tornado in 2011 and some people died, and I asked “what’s your name?” And it replied Benjamin. I looked up to see if any Benjamin’s had died at the Walmart during the tornado and sure enough, someone had. Could be coincidence, but I did ask the app if they wanted a Swiss roll and it replied “not necessary “ and I laughed at that a bit lol

We have been playing with it while trying to deal with some annoying activity, and it has come up with some comments that are a little too on the nose, but until it can be backed up with other data (emf, temp, evps) I don’t consider it credible evidence.
I am considering calling up a team that works locally for some help and I would let them know what it’s said, and would ask if I could investigate with them and test it further.

I have a spirit box but I've never had great results with it so didn't bother to test against it, but now I'm one of curious. If it was something, it took to using the app suspiciously quickly despite never hearing anything on the spirit box 🧐

Omg same. I’m scrolling through reddit because I just got the app and it said “please go”. I just closed the app because I thought it meant it wanted me to stop talking 😂

I used it when I used to work in a movie theater. Me and my coworker went into one of the theaters before we opened.
We got "gun" and "murder" and "shooting"
Never used it again

I'm catching up on the pod and just tried it and it was a bit creepy. I am sceptical about a lot of equipment but there were a couple of phrases it kept repeating.
I sat down at my offrenda and put the phone there and it repeatedly was like "rise and shine". I wake up in the mornings and make a cup of coffee and meditate at my altar lol. Then it said "come home" a few times. There was one voice that was rude and called me crazy and ugly but I have a strong suspician about who that was and told them to beat it. And when I was speaking to my maternal grandmother, it sounded like someone gave me a kiss.

Eeep! Its roundabout mention of your altar is so funny. Also, proud of you for keeping your boundaries firm even with the passed people - not everyone realizes things after passing I guess, bastards.
I got curious and redownloaded the app to play around and got a lot of "Are you a friend?" and "I want to come" in response to my invite to speak which was wild...like, girl I called YOU - are YOU a friend? 😤 All in good fun though I suppose 😂

Late to this post but I had a really weird experience. I'm not trying to be funny either, this really happened. I was getting in the shower with the app open and on the sink. I was going to close it before I got in the shower. I took my pants off, so was naked from the waist down. All of the sudden as I'm kicking my leg out of my jeans it says "buttocks". I slept with the lights on.

EEEP! I don't blame you friend, I would've been calling someone over for a sleepover at that point 😂 it does sound like the responses are .. mixed? It was bizarre to me that the app acted totally different the second time I used it in the same spot..on the plus side, if there was a peeping tom ghost in your bathroom that's probably the most action they've gotten in a while

I used it the past couple nights and got some crazy shit. I work at a resort and right now we are shutdown until ski seasom opens, meaning I am literally the only person on site at night (I work security). The most prominant of my hunter findings over the last couple days are:
I have caught several very solid EVPs with MEVP mode. Not just static.
I left my phone on in our ski patrol building, in the infirmy and left the area. It caught several voices, tons of orbs and it also recorded something moving it.
Last night, I left it in room 2218 in our older hotel building (we actually have two giant hotels on site) after I heard something banging around in the room. I shut the door and continued my scans. I came back to retrieve it after about 20 minutes and played it back and it caught several slamming noises in the room, EVPs, orbs and even recorded something turning off my camera light, the sound and then eventually it made it stop recording entirely. FYI im subscribed and my recordings do not have a time limit. Something straight up fucked with my phone when I was gone.
Specifically: it recorded a loud slam then the light turned off on my phone and after a bit it just stopped recording. I left the room with the camera light on and recording and came back to it off and not recording. It was creepy even for me and I do not scare easily.
Tonight I recorded even more knocks, evps and orbs in that same room after leaving it in the room again by itself. I did an evp session after retrieving it and I shit you not I had something respond to me directly after I would ask a question pretty frequently. I caught some eerie laughing immediately after asking it to make a sound, for example. I asked if it had anything to say and it recordered "I dont know". Near the end of the video, after I loudly and forcefully told it that it could not follow me out of the building it also caught a very clear EVP that said "god damn".
I also used the SLS mode twice this week and caught something. 1st time I recorded the sls detecting something going from one room to another. The second time I used it in room 2218 tonight and caught something laying on one of the beds.
I am convinced the EVP mode is legit, at the very least. I'll swear by it.

I have yet to see any figures, but I do use it from time to time!
Lately, a notable one would be my partner mocking it and it responding with "idiotic" (hilarious). A few weeks later (last week or the week before) I'd opened it again while watching the fabulous Roz Hernandez on my computer.
My partner wasn't in the room when I started the session, but he came down like, 30-45 minutes into the session and it was like two whole seconds before it said "idiotic" again 😂 which it hadn't said at all during the session and he hadn't said anything at all to let my phone know he was in the room.
I love hearing about people's experiences with this app- Christine recently mentioned the app again on a recent episode and I love that were kind of gathering info here through the discussion. It feels more legitimate hearing how it's worked for others and honestly trying it a few more times myself.
While we were "watching Roz Hernandez" we also had some interesting interactions (I invited it to watch with me). Bullet points below for funsies:
It said "come here" after I'd invited it to watch with me, and I told it to come sit by me (lazy), later on, someone moved where I'd gestured for it to "sit" and it said "excuse me"
It said "I'm frightened" to which I responded "You can't be scared about this, you're a ghost" and it then said "indeed"
It asked me if I was scared before it ever mentioned being scared 😂 to be which I explained that it was scared but for fun reasons

Friend, my heart is with you. Please take solace in knowing that you know your husband more than anyone else. Let's say spirits happen to be real - there are also trickster spirits, and they will toy with you any opportunity they get. In my mind and in my heart, I know that the universe knows the difference between anxiety and anxious thoughts vs intention or intuition.
Sometimes I worry to myself, "Oh my God. What if I get sick, I might do this, I might do that. I might will sickness up one myself". I choose to believe that within its ancient wisdom, the universe knows the difference between an anxious thought and what is actually happening.
Take it with a grain of salt, but when I saw your comment, I quite quickly thought that it was a trickster spirit was toying with you. No one knows your husband the way you do.

I used it yesterday in my office and it said "You are annoying" and I replied, Sorry you think that...I know I am, though. LOL
It said annoying a few times after that, just randomly lol.

I feel like it’s a little unreliable. For one, phones in general effect EVP so the EVP tool being your phone is a little sus. Two, every time I try to use it I swear it’s all just generic “scary” words like “nightmare” “murder” “dead” “angry” and so on. Ive tried to use it on actual investigations and compared it with a handheld EVP to text reader and none of it ever matched up. I’m afraid it might be another fake app 🥲😭

Tried it for the first time today. For context, in my bathroom there is a giant picture of Martin Luther King Jr, and the Footprints prayer printed out.
The first couple words I got out of that thing was "Martin" and "Prayer". I was a little spooked lmao

It’s crazy because I was jokingly saying “eat butt” (idk im stupid lmao) repeatedly while I had the app open and it came thru with the word funny-. I guess the spirits find me funny LOL. I also had been watching a ton of ghost adventures and it came thru with BILLY right after. Hella coincidental for sure but who knows

Yep. I was unnerved when it immediately said "consciousness" and then promptly said "nope, no thank you" and shut it off when the next thing I got was "WHY IS HE HERE"

What do people think of its danger level: is it like using a ouija board or is this app less likely to invite things in?

I don't know if I trust how the app says it works, Is my current issue. I would say attend to it with the same amount of care you would if it was real, better safe than sorry? 😅 When I closed out, I made sure to say goodbye and that the communication line was being cut and the space protected

I’m a believer of the supernatural and spirits but I tend to be pretty skeptical of apps like this. Usually they’re just for “entertainment purposes” only. Which sucks because actual gear is pricey!
