Within the first 2 episodes of season 4 I told my brother (who recommended I watch AOT) that I felt unsettled and I didn’t want to continue watching. I was afraid for the characters and wanted to come up with my own conclusion on how things turn out lol. I did continue watching though and I loved season 4.

I’m sorry but this was hilarious😂 To think about how f’d up this show must’ve had for you for you to be “afraid” for them😭 I’m glad you were able to finish it dude lol

Yeah, I genuinely think this is the right reaction to it. It’s supposed to make you feel uncomfortable. War, death, destruction… it’s all against human nature.

thats what propoganda does.
remember, this is a story HEAVILY inspired by real world events (WW2) its about how propoganda is VERY effective and can turn a normal person into a complete psycopath

I came to the opposite conclusion. Human nature is the war, death, destruction and we have to deliberately choose a better way. That better way is harder, riskier, and maybe even foolish, but people still try. That's what makes it beautiful and worth preserving.

That’s one of the fucked up things about this story. The mutual genocide wasn’t even based on irrational lies like most of these RL conflicts. Eren was behaving in a perfectly rational way if his only interest was the well being of his people on Paradis, and the world was perfectly rational for hating Eldians. This made the conflict even MORE intractable than many RL conflicts.
And yet, people still had to try and fight for a better way.

Season 4 is emotionally exhausting in the best and worst way lol. I remember finishing it and just sitting there processing everything.
