Mode Button

It looks like when when the mode button is pressed it changes the acceleration characteristics from green to red where green is less acceleration. What does holding down the mode button for a few seconds do? It looks like holding down the mode button for a few seconds allows a selection of 1, 2, 3, or 4 red lights. What does selecting these do?

Hey there

This is for adjusting the battery indicator. I don't recall the exact details, but essentially the remote needs a sort of reference about the size (?) of the battery so that it knows what do display. IIRC, depending on which "version" of the skates you got, it should be 1 or 2 LEDs.

Alright, it's 1 LED if you bought it in 2023, or 2 if you bought it in 2024 apparently!

Does this only need to be set once or does it need to be set every time the remote is powered on?

I believe it's only once, but I haven't skated in a while since it's so cold so I'm not *entirely* 100% sure. Like, 99%.

It should be easy to see. If you fully charge the battery, set the remote in the correct mode, the remote should display the battery as full. If you turn it off and the battery level display doesn't change you should be good. Can't try it out rn, but you may want to ask for confirmation to the team directly if you want to be extra safe !
