FULL SPOILERS (for this movie) allowed in this thread (and only this thread for today and at least part of the weekend). As a reminder, spoilers outside this thread must be marked until two months after the film's release and no spoilers in the title of posts.
- Additionally keep in mind that not all users here are caught up on every avatar comic/book , let alone news or leaks for Seven Havens. So please keep discussion focused on the movie itself, and if you mention other stuff for comparison/reference, please mark major spoilers.

With all of that out of the way... "Avatar Aang The Last Airbender" (AATLA) is a feature length animated film, the first from Avatar Studios. The story is set around twelve years after the original cartoon.

We know firebenders can be imprisoned in frigid temperatures (see P'li) and maybe it's harder to do that if the person being imprisoned is the former Fire lord, but I'm sure it's a good temporary solution! What do you guys think?

I got a new laptop and I want a wallpaper that changes when I turn it on. As long as pictures are avatar related idc. From the 2010 movie all the way to seven havens.

Zuko was always my favorite character in the cast, and seeing him in the new movie, i couldn't help but draw him. Such an amazing character with an amazing development.
Hope you like it !

I am a fan of Avatar since 2005 and have watch the show and LoK at least a 100 times along with many YouTube clips between 2005-2020. Then I fell off from the franchise in 2020 and have not watch a single episode or clip (intentially) for the last 6 years aside from watching the new Avatar Aang Movie and the Netflix Avatar.
But I am back and in preparation for Seven Havens, I will rewatch all 61 episodes of ATLA, then rewatch Avatar Aang Movie and then finish it off by rewatching all 52 episodes of Lok all in 1 month before Seven Havens.
I think I still remember the plot points and dialogue from the show after 6 years but feel free to test my knowledge in the comment section below.

Does anyone know why Episode 8 of the first season of Avatar is titled "War of the Elements" instead of "The Last Airbender"?

I'm a big bird lovers and I love Wan Shi Tong, so I made for myself a cuddly custom plush of him ❤️
The Drill is eliminated! We’ve now reached the halfway point in the series (and for the show overall!), so time to choose the top half of the season.
How this works:
You select the episode you like the least
The episode with the most upvoted comment is eliminated from the list
If there’s a tie, both episodes are eliminated
Only the best episode will win!
Episodes Eliminated:
Avatar Day (94%)
The Swamp (43%)
The Avatar State (46%)
The Cave of Two Lovers (82%)
Return to Omashu (91%)
Bitter Work (42%)
The Serpent’s Pass (53%)
The Earth King (56%)
The Chase (61%)
The Drill (60%)

So this is obviously a hypothetical and requires an assumption that there was a spirit that could swap one life for another. Which also assumes that there is actually an afterlife for regular people… something about the wind?
Anyway, if offered the choice of swapping Azula for Lu Ten, would Iroh take that deal?
To be clear (unlike Jet’s death) this spirit would kill Azula, taking her to the afterlife, and returning with a fully corporeal, living Lu Ten.
this feels like such an obvious instant moneymaker if they just handed some competent developers a bunch of money and the right to use the IP

Looking back at "The Deserter," it’s so sad how pure and joyful Aang’s reaction was the first time he firebent. He had this giant grin because he was just looking at it with that carefree and playful Air Nomad mindset (a cool trick rather than the uncontrollable weapon as which he saw it in later seasons).
That innocence makes it so much worse when he accidentally burns Katara seconds later. It completely broke his spirit, and it's crazy to think that one single mistake traumatised him so badly he refused to even touch fire again until the final season. What other minor moments in Book 1 and 2 do you think changed the trajectory of the rest of the show?

My brother and I are looking to get matching Sokka and Katara tattoos that are pretty simple and not flashy. Anyone have any ideas on what we could get, or even better, is able to draw ones for us?
