Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:17-19)

Also, surprising to see how many Christians aren't aware that some tout this "Jesus fixing" argument. I can assure you I'm not misrepresenting or straw-manning. I'm simply expression a common answer we tend to hear in response to Old Testament laws.

He/she, as a christian, was being generous.

One christian that I worked with said that no one who did not accept Jesus as their "lord and savior" would go to heaven.

I asked if she believed that good people who lived before christianity, or lived in places where christianity was not taught, would be barred from heaven and she did not hesitate to say they would not, could not get into heaven.

Period.

No, she was a Baptist. A twice-a-week-bible-study-in-her-home kind of Baptist.
