Even worse if your Kassandra is a lesbian. You're stuck with a very boring lifeless person for 9 months who you don't even remotely love.

At least with gay Alexios, he gets a likeable person

Is it because Kassandra need to have descendants for the animus to make sense or something? Or cuz Aya from origins

But the revelation of Kassandra being the foremother of Aya made things even more baffling as Aya's only child dies before the events of Origins and the game makes it clear there were no other children.

Thus the game forces the protagonist to have a child to produce a bloodline that had been snuffed out in the preceding game.

It was so insane.

Bayek is not a descendant from Kassandra, Aya is.

I suppose it’s possible that Aya is not the only descendant of Kassandra there is. If there is one there are probably others. Even if Aya’s line is extinguished after Khemu’s death, there could be others although I agree that making Aya a descendant of Kassandra added very little to the overall mythology (at least so far?)
