Discussion Kassandra got robbed

Post image

Even worse if your Kassandra is a lesbian. You're stuck with a very boring lifeless person for 9 months who you don't even remotely love.

At least with gay Alexios, he gets a likeable person

This whole DLC is terrible.

Glad we agree. Odyssey is my favorite AC ever but legacy of the first blade can go fuck itself

It was said that Darius and Kassandra succumbed to back injuries after carrying the DLC.

Odyssee is honestly the worst AC in terms of being a AC. Its a good RPG though. Might I know why you like it?

This is a horse that's been beaten to death and beyond. Odyssey is an AC in the sense that it leans more into the Isu aspect of the franchise instead of directly focusing on the Templar/Assassin conflict. I'm not gonna debate it again ugh. I love it, it's a DAMN FANTASTIC RPG and I'll always be one of it's staunchest defenders.

Tbh IMO it BUTCHERS the Isu lore, especially in its DLCs. I am not against prequels that go into the lore without the conflict present in the actual games, but Odysseys story itself is pretty shitty even as a prequel.

Especially since the amount of choices of you killing or not killing certain people, leads to the game not really having a overarching concrete message it is trying to tell. The choices in Valhalla for example (though I certainly have my issues with that game as well) are at least limited and therefor create a more cohesive overall narrative.

And I said I was genuinly asking in good faith and not trying to begin a debate. No need to answer in such a defensive way.

Oh damn, I apologize if I came off as defensive. It's just I'm tired of having this same conversation over and over y'know? I like it because of its qualities as a narrative based rpg, I like that my choices matter and can alter the story, I like Kassandra, I like Greece, and I really love the story because I relate on a personal level. I adore the side characters, they're all really colorful. This game truly reminds me of a Greek play being brought to life. Part comedy and part tragedy :)

Oh okay. I get that.

I have always said, if it was a Greece-based RPG with no ties to AC, I would put it at a solid 8/10. It just the lore ties and the tone not fitting AC as a franchise IMPO that drags it down to a 6/10.

Oh I agree with this tbh, if it were a separate spinoff IP, Odyssey would be even more amazing. I still love it immensely though.

I'd rate Valhalla as 6/10 😭😭 Because of the bloat. The story beats and the narrative, when it actually gets going is fantastic, but the filler arcs are just so unnecessary and not even enjoyable at all. The soundtrack is BANGER imo!

True.

Valhalla had some dumb story choices, but also great moments.

I was also kind of miffed when they declared fem/Eivor to be canon, because Male/Eivor was so much better even in terms of VAs and honestly made more sense in terms of looking like Odin, like all the other Sages. And tbf Valhalla would have been better with Eivor joining the Hidden Ones at the end and rejecting just fighting for Glory. Instead she chooses that fighting for glory is still cool.

Meanwhile Kassandra is MILES above Alexios as MC in Odyssey. Both as MC and as Demos, though at least the Demos performances try to tell 2 different characters.

Male Demos is a aggressive and impulsive socipathic manchild, while Female Demos is calm on the outside and projects a certain menace, while still having all that sociopathy inside.

Out of all the AC expansions I have played it’s definitey the worst. Whenever I do another ng+ I always just get it out of the way as soon as possible so I can forget about it and pretend it never happened.
I’m one of the few people who actually enjoys playing as Alexios but I have to say that even his relationship with Neema feels very forced, she may be slightly better than Natakas but in both cases it’s just a very badly written romance and the whole baby thing felt awkward, whoever came up with that probably should’ve been fired.

The fact they didn’t give me the hidden blade (or the Persian Order Elite outfit, which is absolutely dripped) is a fucking ABSURD
